# Prime Video Clone Development Cost: What an OTT Storefront Costs in 2026

$2,799, fixed and one-time, for a launch-ready white-label build - all four monetization models, the entitlement engine, partner console and admin platform, with Android, iOS and web included. It moves for scope you add, not for hours we spend, and the two most common additions - DRM and native Smart TV apps - are named up front rather than discovered in a change order.

        Market Comparison

## What a Multi-Model OTT Platform Costs Each Way

Four routes to a storefront. The ranges below are what this market quotes; only the Miracuves figure is our own committed price.

| Route | Typical Cost | Typical Timeline | What You Actually Get |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Generic OTT script | $1,000 - $6,000 | Unknown / DIY | A catalogue and a plan check. No rental timers, no partner settlement, and media usually served from public URLs. |
| Miracuves readymade | $2,799 | 6 days | Four monetization models on one catalogue, server-side entitlements, rental windows, territory rights and watch-minute partner settlement. |
| Hosted OTT SaaS | Monthly + revenue share | Weeks | Fast to start, but you rent the platform, the pricing model is theirs, and the catalogue relationship is not fully yours. |
| Custom development | $80,000 - $400,000 | 3-9+ months | Built to your brief, with the entitlement engine and partner settlement each priced as scope - and both are routinely underestimated. |

The comparison that matters is not price against price, it is price against what arrives. Entitlement resolution across plans, rentals and purchases is the part that is routinely underestimated in a custom build, and the part a generic script does not attempt at all.

## What the Price Includes

The complete stack a multi-model OTT service runs on, with the source code handed over at the end of it.

### Complete source code

The Laravel backend, database schema, API layer, Flutter mobile apps, web platform, partner console, admin platform and the entitlement engine. No per-viewer licence.

### Android, iOS and web

Branded Flutter applications and a responsive web platform, with QR-based session handoff to television. Native Smart TV apps are custom development, not part of the base package.

### The entitlement engine

Server-side resolution across plans, rentals and purchases, with territory rights enforced at the entitlement layer rather than in the interface.

### Partner console and settlement

Content submission and approval, title-level performance, watch-minute logging, scoped partner access and operator-gated payout runs.

### Admin platform

Catalogue, pricing per model, rental windows, coupons, plans, partner approvals, payouts and reporting in one console.

### Support and updates

Sixty days of technical support after launch, one year of updates where applicable, app publishing support, documentation and full credentials handover.

## What Moves the Number

None of these are surprises we spring after the contract - they are the questions we ask before it, including the two things that are genuinely not in the base build.

### DRM requirements

Not included. Media ships behind signed URLs with server-side entitlement checks, which suits owned and independent catalogue. Studio licensing usually mandates Widevine, FairPlay or PlayReady, and that is scoped separately.

### Smart TV applications

Not in the base package. Native apps for Fire TV, Android TV, Roku and tvOS are custom development, and worth planning for since most premium viewing happens on a television.

### How many models you run

All four ship. Running subscription only is simpler to operate than running subscription, rental, purchase and ads together with territory-varying rules.

### Catalogue size and ingest

The content acquisition API supports programmatic ingest. Catalogue preparation - files, metadata, artwork, territory rights - is almost always the longest task on the project.

### Partner settlement complexity

Watch-minute settlement against agreed terms is included. A bespoke settlement formula, channel bundling or territory-limited licensing windows are scoped separately.

### Streaming infrastructure

CDN, transcoding and storage are your running costs and they grow with viewing. They are infrastructure lines rather than build cost, but they belong in the same budget conversation.

## The Six-Day Path to Live

Six days is our side of the work. Content preparation is almost always the longest task on your side - start it early.

        1
### Brief and brand handover

Name, identity, theme, domain and content policy. Rebranding is configuration rather than a code change.

        2
### Deployment onto your infrastructure

Your servers, your storage, your CDN. The platform runs on your infrastructure from the first day rather than on ours.

        3
### Catalogue ingest

Titles, metadata, artwork and territory rights, through the content acquisition API rather than manual upload. This is the step that depends on you rather than on us.

        4
### Pricing per model

Plan tiers with catalogue and device limits, rental windows and prices, purchase prices, ad-tier rules, and which titles sit in which model per territory.

        5
### Partners and payment providers

Partner terms and settlement basis configured, payment providers wired per market with your own merchant accounts.

        6
### Handover

Source code, documentation, a walkthrough and full credentials. Sixty days of technical support follows, and you are not dependent on us to keep operating.

        By Region

## Regional Development Rates

If you build from scratch, the biggest single variable is where your team sits. A multi-model OTT storefront with an entitlement engine, rental timers, territory rights and partner settlement is roughly a four-engineer team for six months at minimum - call it 4,000 engineering hours before design, QA and project management.

| Region | Typical blended rate | 4,000 hours works out at | What usually gets cut first |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| North America | $100 - $180 / hr | $400,000 - $720,000 | Nothing - but the scope shrinks to fit the budget |
| Western Europe | $70 - $130 / hr | $280,000 - $520,000 | Partner settlement, so the partner economy never starts |
| Eastern Europe | $40 - $70 / hr | $160,000 - $280,000 | Rental timers, leaving subscription as the only model |
| Latin America | $35 - $60 / hr | $140,000 - $240,000 | Territory rights, which is a licensing problem not a feature gap |
| Southeast Asia | $25 - $50 / hr | $100,000 - $200,000 | Signed media, leaving content on public URLs |
| India | $20 - $45 / hr | $80,000 - $180,000 | The content acquisition API, so catalogue growth is manual |
| Miracuves readymade | Not hourly | $2,799 one-time | Nothing - the scope above is what ships |

These are indicative market ranges for the region, not our rates, and they cover the build alone. Entitlement resolution across plans, rentals and purchases is the part routinely underestimated in a custom build, and the part a generic OTT script does not attempt at all.

## Why the Price Is Fixed, Not "Starting At"

Hourly billing pays a vendor to take longer. Fixed pricing on a finished product does the opposite: the platform is already built, so what you are buying is rebranding, deployment and handover, and none of that is open-ended. That is why $2,799 is a number rather than a range with an asterisk. It moves for scope you add, not for hours we spend, and two of the most common additions - DRM and native Smart TV apps - are named on the features page as not included rather than discovered in a change order. We will not quote you a discovery phase to work out what the product does.

## Hidden Costs Most Quotes Leave Out

None of these are ours to charge you, which is exactly why they get left out of comparisons. In OTT several of them dwarf the software.

- **Content licensing**The largest line in the business by a wide margin, and the one where negotiation moves margin more than any platform decision. Nothing about the software changes what a distributor charges you.
- **CDN and egress**Bandwidth scales directly with watch time, which means your best month is also your most expensive. This is the cost that grows fastest as the service succeeds.
- **Transcoding and storage**Every title needs multiple renditions, and the catalogue never shrinks. Both are ongoing rather than one-off.
- **DRM licensing**Not in the base package, and the DRM vendors charge their own per-device or per-request fees on top of the integration cost.
- **Native TV applications**Fire TV, Android TV, Roku and tvOS are separate builds with separate store processes. Most premium viewing happens on a television, so this is usually a when rather than an if.
- **Payment processing**Per-transaction fees across four monetization models, plus chargebacks. Rentals and purchases generate far more individual transactions than a monthly plan does.
- **Catalogue preparation**Files, metadata, artwork and territory rights. Not an invoice from anyone, but almost always the longest task on the project and a real internal cost.
- **Partner management**Approvals, statements and disputes are people work. Settlement accuracy is what keeps partners, and someone has to answer their questions.

### Content protection and settlement integrity

Signed media with server-side entitlement checks, territory rights enforced at the entitlement layer, scoped partner access and attributable payout approvals - plus an honest account of where DRM begins.

## Frequently Asked Questions

            How much does it cost?
$2,799, fixed and one-time, for a launch-ready white-label build with full source-code ownership. All four monetization models, the entitlement engine, partner console, admin platform and the Android, iOS and web apps are included. The price moves for scope you add, not for hours we spend - DRM and native Smart TV apps are named as not included rather than discovered in a change order.

            Is DRM included?
No - and this matters if you are licensing premium content. Media is served through signed URLs with server-side entitlement checks, which is appropriate for owned and independent catalogue. Studio licensing usually mandates Widevine, FairPlay or PlayReady, and that is an integration we scope separately. We would rather flag it before purchase than after.

            How long until launch?
Six days of work on our side - the platform is built, so our job is rebranding and deploying it. What extends the calendar is what we need from you: brand assets, hosting, payment providers, and your catalogue with its metadata and territory rights. Content preparation is almost always the longest task, so start it early.

Do I get the source code?
Yes, in full. The Laravel backend, database schema, API layer, Flutter mobile apps, web platform, partner console, admin platform and the entitlement engine - with no per-viewer licence and no dependency on us to keep operating.

Why is the price fixed rather than a range?
Because the platform is already built. What you are buying is rebranding, deployment and handover, and none of that is open-ended, so hours are not the unit of value. The figure moves for scope you add rather than for time we spend, and the two most common additions - DRM and native Smart TV apps - are named as not included rather than discovered in a change order.

What costs should I budget for beyond the build?
Content licensing first, because it dwarfs everything else and negotiation moves margin more than any platform decision. Then CDN and egress which scale with watch time, transcoding and storage, DRM vendor fees if you licence premium content, native TV app builds, payment processing across four models, catalogue preparation and partner management.
