Miracuves is an enterprise FastAPI development company. Our Python engineers write Pydantic-typed endpoints, async integration services and model-serving APIs as custom work of 2-8 weeks; if one of our 90+ ready-made platforms already fits, it goes live under your brand in 6 working days. Either way, 100% of the source code is yours from day one.

        In short
Miracuves builds FastAPI backends in Python - typed REST and WebSocket APIs, integration and webhook services, and endpoints that serve machine learning models - for founders and product teams. Custom FastAPI work is delivered in 2-8 weeks, while a matching catalogue platform can be live in 6 working days. Every API comes with generated OpenAPI docs, load tests and CI, and you own 100% of the source code.

Our FastAPI Approach

## How Miracuves delivers FastAPI apps - from 9,000+ projects of real experience

After 9,000+ projects and 3,900+ published apps, Miracuves starts every FastAPI service from the same tested skeleton rather than an empty main.py: one APIRouter per feature, settings loaded through pydantic-settings, async SQLAlchemy sessions injected with Depends, Alembic migrations, and a pytest suite that runs against a real PostgreSQL database.

One FastAPI service serves the web app, the iOS and Android apps, the admin panel and partner integrations through a single OpenAPI contract. Front-end teams generate typed clients from that schema instead of reading hand-written docs, so a renamed field shows up as a build error rather than a production bug - and the full source code is yours on handoff.

**Who this service is built for:** Founders and product teams whose backend is mostly I/O and data - marketplace and delivery APIs, fintech ledgers and webhooks, SaaS backends, and products that serve machine learning models to web and mobile apps. Miracuves FastAPI development fits when you want a Python API with typed contracts and generated docs, published pricing, full IP ownership, and a company accountable for delivery - not individual contractors. If you need a content-heavy product with a built-in admin, very high-volume CPU-bound processing, or your team already writes TypeScript end to end, we will say so upfront and recommend [Django](https://miracuves.com/service/django-app-development/), [Go](https://miracuves.com/service/golang-app-development/) or [Node.js](https://miracuves.com/service/node-js-development/) instead.

- **Async endpoints on every project:** database and HTTP calls are awaited, so one slow query does not hold up other requests
- **APIRouter modules and SQLAlchemy repositories enforced:** each feature testable on its own from day one
- **Slow or CPU-heavy work moved off the request path:** to a task queue such as Celery, or to a Go service when raw throughput matters
- **CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions configured on every project:** automated builds from first commit
- **Production API deployment fully managed:** TLS certificates, secrets, health checks and rollback

## FastAPI vs Express.js vs Flask vs Django REST vs Spring Boot - which is right for your project?

Any of these three will return JSON over HTTP. What separates them is whether validation and docs come built in, how each handles concurrent I/O, and whether your product needs Python data libraries or npm. Our teams ship in all three, so the recommendation is about your backend, not our habits - and it shapes years of hosting and maintenance cost.

      Choose FastAPI if…
You need ML/AI-powered APIs · async microservices · automatic OpenAPI documentation · Pydantic data validation · Python-first data science integration · one team owning the complete backend.

Consider an alternative if…
Your team is invested in the Java/Spring ecosystem · you want Django's built-in admin, ORM and auth for a content-heavy product · CPU-intensive number crunching belongs in Go or Rust · your whole team writes TypeScript and wants Express.js to share types with the front end. FastAPI guide

## What to know before you hire a FastAPI development company

The questions founders ask us before they sign a FastAPI project, answered for FastAPI specifically - what it is good at, where Django or Flask fits better, how to deploy it and what speed to expect.

### What is FastAPI, and what is it good at?

FastAPI is a Python web framework for building APIs. You describe each endpoint with ordinary Python type hints and Pydantic models, and FastAPI uses those same declarations to validate incoming data, serialize responses and generate an OpenAPI schema with interactive Swagger UI and ReDoc pages. The contract and the code cannot drift apart, because they are the same thing.

It runs on ASGI servers such as Uvicorn, so endpoints can be async and wait on databases or other services without tying up a worker.

- Typed REST APIs where web and mobile teams generate clients from the schema
- Request validation with field-level 422 errors instead of hand-written checks
- I/O-heavy services: webhooks, integrations, streaming and WebSockets
- Serving machine learning models that are already written in Python

### When should you choose Django or Flask instead?

Choose [Django](https://miracuves.com/service/django-app-development/) when the product is a data-heavy web application more than an API: it ships an ORM, migrations, authentication and a ready admin panel, and Django REST Framework adds the API on top. A content platform or back-office tool usually reaches launch sooner that way.

Choose [Flask](https://miracuves.com/service/flask-app-development/) for a small synchronous service, or when you are extending an existing Flask codebase and a rewrite would not pay for itself. FastAPI is the better fit when the API itself is the product, when async I/O matters, or when you want the OpenAPI contract generated for you. All three are Python, so the rest of your stack, your hiring pool and your data libraries stay the same whichever you pick.

### Can FastAPI serve machine learning models in production?

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons teams pick it. The model, its preprocessing and the API live in one Python codebase, so a scikit-learn pipeline or a PyTorch model can be loaded once at startup and called from an endpoint with a Pydantic model describing exactly what the input must look like.

The detail that matters is where inference runs. Model inference is CPU- or GPU-bound, so we run it in a thread pool, a separate worker process or a dedicated inference service, and keep the async endpoints free for I/O. Batching requests, caching repeat predictions and sizing GPU instances are decided at scoping, because they drive the hosting bill more than the code does. For the model work itself, see our [machine learning development](https://miracuves.com/service/ml-development/) service.

### Where can a FastAPI backend be deployed, including serverless?

A FastAPI app is a standard ASGI application, so it is not tied to one host. Miracuves usually ships it as a Docker image running Uvicorn workers on AWS ECS, Kubernetes or a plain VM behind Nginx. The same image also runs on container platforms that scale to zero, such as Google Cloud Run or Azure Container Apps.

Function-based serverless works too: on [AWS Lambda](https://miracuves.com/service/aws-development/) an adapter such as Mangum translates API Gateway events into ASGI requests. There is no single best serverless platform for FastAPI; the trade-offs are cold starts when traffic is spiky, package size limits for ML dependencies, and long-lived WebSocket connections, which do not fit a function that runs per request. We recommend a target based on your traffic pattern and write it into the quote.

### How fast is FastAPI in practice?

FastAPI is among the faster Python frameworks, because it is built on Starlette and ASGI, and because Pydantic does its validation in a compiled Rust core. In a real product, though, response time is usually decided by the database queries, external API calls and serialization of large payloads, not by the framework.

The common way to lose that speed is calling blocking code - a synchronous database driver, requests, heavy computation - inside an async def endpoint, which stalls every request on that worker. Miracuves keeps blocking work off the event loop, uses async drivers, and load-tests each release with k6 against the traffic you expect before launch. We do not promise a latency figure before measuring your workload; we measure it and report it.

### Should you hire FastAPI developers or a FastAPI development company?

Hiring FastAPI developers directly works when you already have a backend lead who owns the architecture, reviews every pull request and runs deployments. FastAPI leaves many decisions open - project layout, database session handling, background jobs, auth - and without that lead, contractors settle them differently in each module.

With a development company, those decisions come with the contract. Your contract is with Miracuves as a company rather than with individual freelancers: a Python engineer, DevOps, QA and a project manager build against a signed scope and OpenAPI contract, demo progress weekly and hand over 100% of the source code. Once the API is live, the same engineers can stay on the Ongoing FastAPI Development retainer, from $2,299/month, for new routes, library upgrades and upkeep.

Technical Architecture

## How Miracuves engineers structure FastAPI projects for production

These are the decisions our engineers make on every FastAPI project - where routers end and services begin, how Pydantic guards the edges of the API and how the event loop stays free - the choices that decide whether an API scales gracefully or has to be rebuilt a year later.

- *01*
### Architecture - Clean, Layered Modules

Strict separation: Routers → Services → Repositories → Models, wired together with FastAPI's Depends so any layer can be swapped for a fake in tests. Every feature module owns its APIRouter, Pydantic schemas, service logic, repository and SQLAlchemy models. That separation is why Miracuves can add a new API endpoint module without touching the modules already in production.
- *02*
### Validation - Pydantic Models + Strict Typing

Pydantic models define every request and response, so malformed input is rejected with a field-level 422 before it reaches business logic, and response_model stops internal fields from leaking out. The most common problem inherited from other agencies: plain dicts everywhere, no type hints, KeyErrors at runtime in production. We enforce Pydantic strict mode and mypy in CI from day one - a hard standard, not a suggestion.
- *03*
### Performance - Async/Await and Connection Pooling

Database access goes through async SQLAlchemy on asyncpg, and blocking libraries are kept out of async def endpoints, because one synchronous call there freezes every request that worker is holding. Pool sizes are set per Uvicorn worker from the expected peak, and each release is pushed through k6 with a copy of realistic data rather than trusted on a laptop number.

What most backend agencies get wrong
Blocking database calls inside async endpoints. Interactive /docs exposed on a private production API. No response models, so password hashes end up in JSON. Protected routes shipped without their auth dependency. Secrets hardcoded in settings files. No tests, no CI, no load test before launch. Each one has turned up in FastAPI projects handed to us for rescue, and untangling them always costs more than setting the project up properly on day one.

        auth.py - FastAPI JWT dependency

```
# FastAPI JWT auth dependency - used on every protected routeimport osfrom typing import Annotatedimport jwtfrom fastapi import Depends, FastAPI, HTTPException, statusfrom fastapi.security import HTTPAuthorizationCredentials, HTTPBearerfrom pydantic import BaseModelJWT_SECRET = os.environ["JWT_SECRET"]  # from the environment, never in sourcebearer = HTTPBearer()app = FastAPI()class CurrentUser(BaseModel):    id: str    role: strdef get_current_user(    creds: Annotated[HTTPAuthorizationCredentials, Depends(bearer)],) -> CurrentUser:    try:        claims = jwt.decode(creds.credentials, JWT_SECRET, algorithms=["HS256"])    except jwt.PyJWTError:        raise HTTPException(status.HTTP_401_UNAUTHORIZED, "Invalid or expired token") from None    return CurrentUser(id=claims["sub"], role=claims.get("role", "user"))@app.get("/me")def read_me(user: Annotated[CurrentUser, Depends(get_current_user)]) -> CurrentUser:    return user
```

Our Service Models

Quality Standards

## How Miracuves ensures every FastAPI delivery meets production standard

Before any FastAPI repository changes hands it must be type-checked with mypy, covered by pytest, load-tested with k6 and described by an accurate OpenAPI schema. These gates run inside the build pipeline all through the project, rather than as a checklist the week before launch.

- Clean layered architecture - Routers / Services / Repositories / ModelsArchitecture
- Pydantic strict mode + mypy - no untyped request bodies in productionType Safety
- k6 load tests - each FastAPI release run against the traffic you expect in productionPerformance
- API contract testing - the generated OpenAPI schema is checked against the agreed contract before deploymentQA
- CI/CD pipeline - pytest, Ruff and mypy run on every push from day oneDevOps
- No secrets in source - pydantic-settings reads API keys from the environmentSecurity
- Production-ready - Docker, AWS ECS, monitoring configuredDelivery

Enforced QA Gates

## Our 6 Continuous Delivery Gateways

Routers, Alembic migrations and Docker configs are all held to the six gates below; nothing moves to your GitHub organisation until each one passes.

        **01**
#### Code Review on Every Pull Request

A senior Python reviewer at Miracuves reads each pull request before it lands on main, looking for blocking calls in async routes, Depends wiring mistakes and missing response models, not only business bugs. A pull request with no tests is sent back, so untested code has no path to your production API.

**02**
#### Automated Test Coverage Required

pytest unit tests for services and business rules, plus integration tests that call the API through an HTTPX test client against a real database. A minimum coverage level is enforced before any production deployment is approved.

**03**
#### Production Builds Profiled - Not Development Binaries

Miracuves profiles the production container, not a laptop running uvicorn --reload, using k6 for load and a Python profiler such as py-spy for hot paths. Numbers taken from a development server say little about real users, so we never accept them as proof of speed.

**04**
#### Handoff Package - Not Just a Repository

Source code, README and environment setup guide, the OpenAPI schema with generated docs, the Alembic migration history, deployment credentials and a post-launch runbook - all included in every project handoff.

**05**
#### Production Deployment - Fully Managed

Miracuves writes the Dockerfile, sets up AWS ECS or your own servers, loads environment variables and secrets, runs Uvicorn behind Nginx or a load balancer, configures monitoring and ships to production - in the cloud or on-premise.

**06**
#### Post-Launch Monitoring - 60-Day Active Support

Sentry traces and CloudWatch alarms go live with the API. For the 60 days of post-launch support our engineers follow exception rates, p95 latency per route and Uvicorn worker restarts, and fix what they see before a customer has to raise a ticket.

Our Process

## From brief to deployed API - what happens and when

Ready-made or custom, a FastAPI project moves through these five steps in order. We agree the OpenAPI contract with you before writing endpoints, so you always know what Miracuves is building, what you need to provide and what arrives at each step. Ready-made platforms follow the six-day sprint; custom builds are billed by milestone with the same checkpoints.

### Brief & NDA

Share your concept via WhatsApp. NDA signed same day. We ask 6 specific questions.
2. **Step 02**
### Scope & Design

API design, data models, and integration points confirmed. OpenAPI spec reviewed before any code.
3. **Step 03**
### Build & Demo

Repo created, Pydantic strict mode configured. First endpoint in 24h. Weekly API demos.
4. **Step 04**
### QA & Load Test

pytest covers services and routers, HTTPX drives integration tests against a disposable PostgreSQL, and k6 checks the latency targets we agreed in the scope.
5. **Step 05**
### Deploy & Handoff

Docker image built and pushed, service deployed to AWS ECS behind a load balancer, Sentry and CloudWatch switched on. Full repo + docs delivered. 60 days support.

**Why Miracuves publishes prices**Knowing the cost up front lets you decide which endpoints, integrations and ML features belong in version one. If your backend needs a larger budget, Miracuves shows you exactly which part of the scope drives it - rather than simply charging more.

### What affects FastAPI project cost at Miracuves

When your idea fits a catalogue product as it stands, the ready-made platform keeps its fixed price. Custom FastAPI builds scale with: the number of endpoints and external integrations, real-time features (WebSockets, streaming responses), serving machine learning models (CPU or GPU hosting, batching), database requirements (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis), third-party services (Stripe, Twilio, AWS), and DevOps complexity (Docker, monitoring, autoscaling).

### Typical FastAPI budget ranges

- **Ready-made platform (web app, admin panel, mobile apps)**from $2,1996 working days
- **Custom FastAPI backend work**from $3,699depending on the work
- **Custom MVP**$8,000-$25,0002-8 weeks depending on scope

## What a typical FastAPI project looks like at Miracuves

An illustrative example of a typical project of this kind, with client details anonymized. Figures show what this kind of build targets, not a named client's results.

A Singapore-based food delivery startup had 8 days before a seed investor demo and needed a real-time order dispatch API: webhooks for multiple vendors, Stripe payment processing and an admin dashboard, served over both REST and WebSocket.

1. **01**
### The Challenge

The startup's existing food delivery MVP lacked three things it needed within 8 days: webhook support for multiple vendors, real-time driver tracking over Socket.io, and a connection to a third-party logistics provider.
2. **02**
### What Miracuves Delivered

Starting from our E-commerce API template base, Miracuves rebuilt the webhook system to serve 12 delivery partners, added real-time driver tracking over Socket.io and connected the third-party logistics provider's API.
3. **03**
### Outcome

Delivered on day 8, with the REST API and the WebSocket server both running on AWS ECS. The admin dashboard, the full source code and a load test report were part of the handoff, and the client raised seed funding with the working product.

## Questions about FastAPI development at Miracuves

Something not covered here? Ask on WhatsApp and you will usually have an answer within two hours.

        [Ask us directly](https://wa.me/919830009649)

Can FastAPI backends handle enterprise-scale traffic?
Yes, for the I/O-bound traffic that makes up most API workloads. Uvicorn runs FastAPI as an ASGI app, so a single worker keeps many requests open while each one waits on PostgreSQL or a partner API, and capacity grows by adding Uvicorn workers and containers behind a load balancer. On top of that we put Redis in front of hot reads, pool database connections, run k6 against your forecast traffic before go-live and track latency in production afterwards. Anything CPU-heavy is handed to a Celery queue or a separate service so request handling stays quick.

How much does FastAPI development cost at Miracuves?
If your idea matches a catalogue product, the price is fixed: the ready-made platform, with its web app, admin panel and mobile apps, costs from $2,199 and is live in 6 working days. Custom FastAPI backend work starts from $3,699, depending on the work. A custom FastAPI MVP usually costs $8,000-$25,000 over 2-8 weeks; where it falls depends on how many endpoints and integrations you need, WebSockets or streaming, serving ML models, the databases involved, third-party services and the DevOps setup. After launch, a FastAPI retainer starts from $2,299/month for new features and upkeep. Every quote is written before payment, with no surprise invoices after kickoff.

Does Miracuves deliver the full API source code?
Yes, all of it. You receive the whole FastAPI repository with its full git history, the Pydantic models and settings, the generated OpenAPI/Swagger docs, environment files and every deployment credential. There is no lock-in of any kind: your own engineers, or another development agency, can pick the codebase up and keep building the day after handoff.

How fast can a FastAPI API realistically be delivered?
If a catalogue product matches your idea, the ready-made platform (its web app, admin panel and mobile apps, rebranded as yours) is live in 6 working days. Designing and building a custom FastAPI backend takes 2-8 weeks, depending on the endpoints and integrations in scope. All timelines are stated in writing before any payment is requested.

FastAPI vs Node.js (Express) - which does Miracuves recommend?
It depends on your team and your workload. Choose FastAPI when the backend works with Python data or ML libraries, when you want request validation and OpenAPI docs generated from type hints, or when your team already writes Python. Node.js with Express is the better pick for a team that already lives in TypeScript and wants request types shared with its React or Next.js code, or for a product that leans on npm packages Python has no match for. We deliver in both stacks and put our recommendation in the written proposal.

What is included in the admin dashboard with every delivery?
Each delivery ships a separate admin web app that opens in any browser. From it your team manages API keys, reads per-endpoint analytics, administers users, configures webhooks and changes environment settings without touching the FastAPI code.

Does Miracuves handle production deployment and monitoring?
Yes, on every delivery engagement. Miracuves builds the Docker images, deploys to AWS ECS, sets the environment configuration and SSL certificates, and configures CloudWatch monitoring. Production deployment is usually finished in the same sprint as the API development work itself.

What happens after the API is delivered if there are bugs?
Each Miracuves delivery carries 60 days of post-launch technical support, and any defect inside the agreed scope is fixed without charge during that time. New features outside the scope get their own written quote, and a monthly maintenance retainer is available at the published rate if you want continuing help.

How does Miracuves handle NDA and confidentiality?
Before you share any project detail, Miracuves signs a mutual NDA covering the technical design, business logic and intellectual property. The IP assignment that hands you 100% ownership of the code is signed when the project starts, so ownership never depends on the final invoice.

What is the best serverless platform for FastAPI?
There is no single best one; it depends on your traffic and dependencies. Container platforms that scale to zero, such as Google Cloud Run or Azure Container Apps, run the same Docker image you would deploy anywhere and handle WebSockets and larger ML dependencies more easily. AWS Lambda works through an ASGI adapter such as Mangum and suits spiky, short requests, with cold starts and package size limits to plan around. We choose between them from your request volume and burst pattern, and name the platform in the written quote.

What do FastAPI development services from Miracuves include?
API design and an OpenAPI contract agreed before code, the FastAPI service itself with Pydantic validation, SQLAlchemy and Alembic, authentication, integrations and background jobs, pytest and k6 load tests, CI/CD, Docker deployment to AWS or your own servers, monitoring with Sentry and CloudWatch, and 60 days of post-launch support. You receive the full repository, documentation and every credential at handoff.

Is FastAPI ready for production use?
Yes. FastAPI is widely used in production for public APIs, internal services and ML model serving. What makes a FastAPI service production-ready is the work around it: running Uvicorn workers behind a load balancer, keeping blocking code off the event loop, database migrations, tests in CI, secrets kept out of source, and monitoring. Miracuves sets all of these up on every project before launch.
