Most businesses know they are losing time somewhere and cannot say where. Miracuves measures how the work actually flows, finds where hours and money leak out, and fixes the causes in order of what they cost. Sometimes the answer is software. More often it is removing a step, changing who does what, or stopping something nobody remembers approving.

What This Engagement Delivers

What an efficiency review actually produces

A Miracuves efficiency engagement produces a map of how work actually moves through your business, with time and cost attached to each step, and a ranked list of where it leaks. Each item names the cause rather than the symptom, the fix, and what that fix is worth per year. Then we help you make the changes and measure the same processes again.

This is deliberately not a software sales exercise. Miracuves builds systems for a living, which is exactly why we are careful here: the temptation to conclude that every problem needs a platform is obvious, and giving in to it is how companies end up paying licence fees to solve something a rota change would have fixed. Where software genuinely is the answer, that is automation. Where it is not, we say so and the engagement is cheaper. For custom systems see software development.

Why we are careful here

"We build software, so we have an obvious incentive to conclude that you need some. The discipline is measuring first. A surprising share of what looks like a systems problem turns out to be an approval nobody needs or work arriving in the wrong order, and those cost nothing to fix."

What's Included

Every efficiency engagement includes this - no add-on tiers

01

Measured, Not Estimated

We time the work as it happens rather than asking people to estimate. Estimates of how long a task takes are consistently wrong, usually in the direction that flatters whoever is asked.

02

NDA Before Any Access

A bilateral NDA is signed before we are given a system, a process document, or your operational data. Nothing is discussed in detail before that.

03

Ranked by Annual Cost

Every inefficiency carries a number: hours multiplied by frequency multiplied by what that time costs. The loudest complaint and the biggest number are rarely the same thing.

04

The Cause, Not the Symptom

A queue is a symptom. The cause is usually a handover, an approval nobody needs, or work arriving in the wrong order. Fixing the symptom moves the queue somewhere else.

05

Written for the Floor and the Board

One version for the people doing the work and one for whoever funds the change. Same findings, and the people doing the work get to disagree with ours.

06

Re-measured Afterwards

The same processes timed again after the change, the same way. Improvement nobody measured is a claim, and claims have a habit of not surviving the next quarter.

Honest Comparison

Miracuves vs a management consultancy, a software vendor, and fixing it internally

Internal teams know the work better than any outsider will. The problem is rarely knowledge, it is that nobody has time to measure while also doing the job.

How to choose: If your team already knows what is wrong and has the time to fix it, do it internally and keep the fee. Outside help earns its place when the problem crosses departments, or when the honest answer is politically difficult for someone inside to say out loud.
Where It Leaks

Where the hours actually go

Six places we find them, in roughly the order they show up. None of these require new software to fix, which is the point.

Waiting
Work sitting in a queue
Most of the time a job takes is spent not being worked on. Cutting the waiting usually beats speeding up the doing, and costs nothing.
Common finding
Handovers
Every time it changes hands
Each handover adds a wait, a context loss and a chance to drop it. Removing one is often worth more than optimising both sides of it.
Common finding
Approvals
Sign-offs nobody needs
Approvals added after an incident years ago that nobody has questioned since. Some are essential. Many are ritual with a real cost.
Common finding
Rework
Doing it twice
Work returned because it was wrong or incomplete first time. Rework is expensive and almost always caused upstream of where it appears.
Common finding
Duplication
The same thing, twice
The same data entered in two systems, or two people producing overlapping reports because neither knew about the other.
Common finding
Ritual
Work nobody uses
Reports run weekly that nobody opens, meetings held because they are in the calendar. Stopping these is the cheapest win available.

01

Observe

We watch the work being done. What people describe and what happens are different.

02

Time

Elapsed time and touch time separated, because the gap between them is the opportunity.

03

Cost

Hours multiplied by frequency multiplied by rate. This is what turns irritation into priority.

04

Diagnose

The cause behind the symptom. A queue is never the problem, it is the evidence of one.

05

Change

Usually removing a step, a handover or an approval. Software only where it genuinely pays.

06

Re-measure

The same processes timed again the same way, and reported honestly either way.

How It Runs

From measuring to a change that holds

The hard part is not finding improvements. It is making them survive contact with a busy quarter.

01

Scope and NDA

You name the processes that feel slow or expensive. We agree what is in scope and sign an NDA before seeing operational data. We also agree who we can speak to, because the people doing the work are the ones who know where it goes wrong.

02

Observe and time

We watch the work and time it, separating elapsed time from time actually spent working. That gap is usually most of the opportunity, and it is invisible to anyone estimating from memory.

03

Cost the leaks

Hours multiplied by frequency multiplied by what that time costs. This is the step that turns a list of irritations into a ranked case, and it regularly surprises people about which problem is actually the expensive one.

04

Find the cause

A queue, a delay or a rework loop is evidence, not the problem. We trace back to the approval, handover or sequencing that creates it, because fixing the symptom just moves it somewhere less visible.

05

Change and re-measure

Usually a process change, sometimes a system. We pilot on one team where we can, then measure the same processes again the same way and report what actually moved, including where it did not.

Agreed Upfront

What we settle before starting

01

This is not a headcount exercise

If the goal is redundancies, say so at the start. We will not deliver a report framed as efficiency that is really a staffing decision in disguise.

02

The measure of success

Agreed before we begin and reported the same way afterwards, so the result cannot be reframed once it is known.

03

People get to disagree

The teams doing the work review the findings before the board does. If our reading is wrong, they are the ones who will know.

Other ways Miracuves can help - build, harden, or staff

Not sure staffing is the right model? Miracuves also ships complete products from 90+ clone bases and custom builds - same company, same NDA, same IP ownership. Many clients start with a dedicated practitioner, then expand into a squad or switch to a vertical clone deployment when scope clarifies. Every hire page links to published technology stacks, vertical clone deployments, and sibling engagement models so stakeholders compare staffing versus turnkey product delivery under one NDA counterparty.

Why there is no price on this page: One process in one team and an operations review across a business are different jobs by an order of magnitude. Start with one process. If the numbers do not justify going further, we will say so.

What changes the scope

How many processes, how many teams they cross, whether the work is consistent enough to time reliably, and whether any operational data already exists or has to be gathered from scratch.

What we will not do

Recommend software because we happen to build it. Miracuves has an obvious incentive here, and the discipline is measuring first. Where a rota change beats a system, that is what the report says and the engagement costs you less.

Frequently Asked

Questions about operational efficiency consulting from Miracuves

Is this a cost-cutting exercise?

Not by default, and we ask the question at the start. Most engagements return capacity rather than remove people, which lets you take on more work without hiring. If the goal genuinely is headcount reduction, say so upfront rather than asking for an efficiency report to justify it later.

You build software. Will you just recommend software?

That is the obvious risk and the reason we measure before recommending. A large share of what looks like a systems problem is an approval nobody needs or work arriving in the wrong sequence, and those cost nothing to fix. Where software genuinely pays, that is the automation service.

How is this different from your automation service?

Automation asks which manual work a system should be doing. This asks where time and money leak, and automation is only one of the possible answers. Removing a handover, cutting an approval or changing batch sizes often returns more hours for no licence fee.

Will people resent being timed?

They resent being timed secretly. We explain what we are doing and why, and we ask the people doing the work where it goes wrong, because they usually know and have often said so before. The findings go to them before they go to the board.

What if the problem is a manager?

Then the report describes the effect rather than the person, in the same measured terms as everything else. Sometimes an outside party can say what an internal one cannot afford to, and that is a legitimate reason to bring one in.

How long does it take?

A single process is usually a matter of weeks, because the timing has to cover enough repetitions to be real. A cross-department flow takes longer. We will tell you how long the measurement needs to be credible before you commit.

Do improvements actually stick?

Only if someone owns a measure they can see. Changes that depend on people remembering a new rule fade within a quarter. That is why the last step is a number your team watches, not a document they file.

What do we actually receive?

A map of the process as it really runs, timings, the leaks costed per year, the cause behind each one, and a change plan. Then the same processes measured again afterwards, reported honestly including where the gain was smaller than expected.

Can we start small?

That is the recommendation. One process, measured properly. If the numbers do not justify going further, that is a cheap and useful thing to have learned, and we will tell you rather than propose a bigger phase.

Do you need access to our systems?

Usually less than expected. Most of it is observation and conversation. Where operational data exists it helps confirm what we see, and an NDA is signed before any of it is shared.
