Ionic wraps the web stack your team already writes in a native shell. Capacitor bridges to the camera, GPS, filesystem and push, so a web codebase reaches both stores without a separate mobile team.

More than 6,000+ Companies Trust us Worldwide
In short

Miracuves is an Ionic development company that turns one Angular, React or Vue codebase into a PWA plus iOS and Android apps through Capacitor, for founders and product teams with web engineers. A PWA plus app hybrid starts from $3,699 and takes 2-8 weeks, as does a custom Ionic build. If a ready-made platform fits, it ships in 6 working days. You own 100% of the source code.

Our Ionic Approach

How Miracuves delivers Ionic apps - from 9,000+ projects of real experience

After deploying 9,000+ projects and publishing 3,900+ apps, Miracuves uses Ionic when your team already builds in Angular, React, or Vue on the web. Many readymade clones ship on Flutter by default; we build on Ionic when you need PWA+app hybrid from one codebase, shared web components, or web-to-mobile consistency.

Ionic's web components deliver PWA, iOS, and Android from one codebase - web-native rendering with Capacitor native plugins. For web teams, this means your Angular/React/Vue components work on mobile without rewriting the UI layer.

Who this service is built for: Founders and product leads with an Angular, React, or Vue web team, restaurants needing PWA+app ordering, universities building campus apps, and products requiring web-native consistency across platforms. Miracuves Ionic development fits when you want one company to own the web layer, the Capacitor native projects and both store releases, at a published price and with full IP - not hire-a-developer or hourly staffing. If the fastest path is a Flutter-first clone with no web codebase, we recommend our Flutter service instead.

  • Ionic web components + Capacitor native plugins: web-native performance with native access
  • NgRx, Signals, or Redux: predictable state matching your web framework patterns
  • Capacitor native plugins in Swift/Kotlin for biometrics, background GPS, and device APIs
  • Ionic CLI build + GitHub Actions/Fastlane CI: automated PWA and app builds from first commit
  • PWA deployment · App Store and Play submission via Capacitor: fully managed

Technology Comparison

Ionic vs Flutter vs React Native - which is right for your project?

Plenty of agencies sidestep the Ionic, Flutter or React Native question because they only staff one of them. Miracuves offers all three and answers it plainly - the choice sets your long-term cost, runtime performance and maintenance load.

Ionic guide

What to know before you hire an Ionic development company

The questions founders and product leads ask us before an Ionic build - framework, runtime, performance and cost - answered for Ionic and Capacitor specifically.

What does an Ionic development company actually deliver?

One web codebase and the native projects around it. At Miracuves that means Ionic UI components written in your chosen framework (Angular, React or Vue), a Capacitor setup with the iOS Xcode project and the Android Gradle project committed to your repository, typed wrappers for every device plugin, and a production web build that also runs as a PWA.

It also covers the parts that decide whether the app survives store review and later updates: signing certificates and provisioning, store listings, a CI pipeline that builds the web bundle and both native binaries, and any custom plugin written in Swift or Kotlin when no maintained plugin exists. If a proposal only mentions "Ionic screens", ask who owns the native projects after launch.

Should an Ionic app use Angular, React or Vue?

Use the framework your web team already ships in. Ionic publishes official packages for all three - @ionic/angular, @ionic/react and @ionic/vue - and the UI components underneath are the same web components, so the choice is about your people, not about what Ionic can do.

  • Angular: the longest-standing Ionic pairing, with Ionic navigation built around the Angular router and NgRx or Signals for state
  • React: suits teams with a React web app; Ionic's React router integration handles page transitions and the back stack
  • Vue: a lighter option for Vue teams, using Vue Router and Pinia
  • No web team yet: pick the framework you plan to hire for, because moving an Ionic app to another framework later means rewriting its UI

Capacitor or Cordova - which should an Ionic app run on?

Capacitor, for every new build. It is the native runtime maintained by the Ionic team, and it treats the iOS and Android projects as source code you open in Xcode and Android Studio, instead of regenerating them from a config file the way Cordova does. That makes native changes, such as a share extension or a custom Kotlin service, normal edits rather than fragile build hooks.

Capacitor can still run most Cordova plugins, so an older app can move across one plugin at a time. We keep a Cordova plugin only when the app depends on it, no Capacitor equivalent exists and rewriting it is not worth the cost - and we say so in the scope.

Ionic vs Flutter vs React Native - when is Ionic the right call?

The three render differently. Ionic draws your UI with HTML and CSS inside the platform WebView, Flutter paints every pixel with its own engine, and React Native maps JavaScript components to native views. That difference decides the trade-offs more than any benchmark does.

  • Choose Ionic when you already have an Angular, React or Vue web product and want the same code and components in both stores
  • Choose Ionic when the PWA matters as much as the store apps - ordering, booking, field tools and internal apps
  • Choose Flutter when the app is animation-heavy, or when one of our Flutter-based ready-made platforms already covers your idea
  • Choose React Native when you want native views and have a React team, but do not need a PWA from the same code

Can one Ionic codebase run as a web app, a PWA and store apps?

Yes, and that is Ionic's main advantage. The same build output is deployed to web hosting as a web app, gets a service worker and manifest to become an installable PWA, and is copied by Capacitor into the iOS and Android shells. Screens, business logic and API clients are shared; only code that touches device features branches by platform, usually through the web fallbacks Capacitor plugins provide.

Plan for two limits. An Ionic web app is a single-page app, so pages that must rank in Google belong on a separate marketing site or a server-rendered framework. And a PWA on its own still gets less device access than the store apps, especially on iOS, which is why most of our Ionic clients ship both.

Where does Ionic hit its performance limits?

For forms, lists, dashboards, ordering and content apps, a well-built Ionic app is hard to tell apart from a native one. The limits appear where the WebView has to push heavy graphics or do constant work on the main thread.

  • 3D, games, AR and camera effects - better in native code or Flutter
  • Very long or image-heavy lists - need virtual scrolling and lazy-loaded images from the start
  • Complex gesture-driven animation - keep it to CSS transforms and opacity, or move it native
  • Low-end Android phones - large JavaScript bundles slow startup, so we lazy-load every feature route

What does an Ionic app cost to build and run, and should you hire or outsource?

At Miracuves a PWA plus app hybrid starts from $3,699 and takes 2-8 weeks; a custom Ionic MVP typically runs $8,000-$30,000; ongoing work is from $2,299/month. Running costs sit mostly outside the code: hosting for the PWA, your backend and API, push notification services, Apple's annual developer membership and Google Play's one-time registration.

Hiring in-house makes sense once Ionic is your core product and you ship every week. You will need web developers plus someone comfortable in Swift and Kotlin for custom plugins and store builds - the pairing most in-house Ionic teams lack. An agency fits when you need web, native and store release covered by a date; we hand over a codebase your own hires can extend.

Technical Architecture

How Miracuves engineers structure Ionic projects for production

These are the specific decisions our engineering team makes on every Ionic project - choices that determine whether your PWA+app hybrid scales cleanly or becomes a bridge-heavy mess that needs to be rewritten.

  • 01

Architecture - Shared Web Components + Lazy Loading

Share core Ionic components (cards, modals, navigation) between PWA and app. Feature-based lazy loading keeps bundle size small. Miracuves aligns folder structure with your web framework so new modules ship in days without breaking existing pages.

  • 02

State - NgRx, Signals, or Redux

Match your web framework's state management - NgRx for Angular, Signals for reactive updates, Redux for React. We eliminate direct component state mutation without tests - a pattern inherited from rushed agencies and fixed on day one.

  • 03

Performance - Virtual Scroll and Capacitor Plugin Optimization

Virtual scrolling for long lists (Angular CDK or a React or Vue virtual-list library, since Ionic removed its own ion-virtual-scroll in version 6), lazy-loaded feature modules, and optimized Capacitor native plugin calls. We profile PWA Lighthouse scores and app release builds - development bundles never accepted as final.

What most Ionic agencies get wrong

Shipping unminified PWA bundles. No Ionic CLI build pipeline. Copy-pasted Capacitor config without tuning. No Lighthouse audits before PWA launch. No app store review testing on physical devices. Miracuves has taken over Ionic codebases with every one of these problems - setting up the build pipeline and Capacitor config correctly on day one is faster than cleaning them up later.

location-bridge.ts - Capacitor plugin
// Native bridge for background GPS tracking// Custom Capacitor plugin: Swift on iOS, Kotlin on Androidimport { registerPlugin } from '@capacitor/core';export interface LocationBridge {  startTracking(opts: { intervalMs: number }): Promise<void>;  stopTracking(): Promise<void>;}const bridge = registerPlugin<LocationBridge>('LocationBridge');export async function startTracking(): Promise<void> {  try {    await bridge.startTracking({ intervalMs: 10000 });  } catch (e) {    console.error('Bridge:', (e as Error).message);  }}
Calls a custom Capacitor plugin written in Swift and Kotlin, so background GPS keeps running while the app is in the background and the WebView is paused. The TypeScript layer only starts and stops tracking and receives the results.

Quality Standards

How Miracuves ensures every Ionic delivery meets production standard

Every Ionic project passes through Miracuves' quality gates before handoff - the web bundle, the Capacitor projects and the store builds alike. It is a non-negotiable delivery standard, not a checklist.

  • Clean architecture - Presentation / Domain / Data separatedArchitecture
  • NgRx/Redux - no direct component state mutationState
  • PWA Lighthouse 90+ · App release builds testedPerformance
  • Physical device QA - every Capacitor build tested on real iOS and Android hardwareQA

Enforced QA Gates

Our 6 Continuous Delivery Gateways

Every web component, Capacitor plugin, asset and build profile must clear all six quality control gates before we hand over the repository.

01

Code Review on Every Pull Request

Every pull request into your main branch, whether it touches Ionic screens or native plugin code, is reviewed by a senior Miracuves engineer. No untested code reaches your production PWA or store builds under any circumstances.

02

Automated Test Coverage Required

Unit tests for services and business logic, component tests for Ionic screens, and integration tests for critical user flows such as login and checkout. A minimum coverage level is enforced before any PWA or store release build is created.

03

Release Builds Profiled - Not Debug Builds

Miracuves runs Lighthouse on the production PWA and profiles the release builds inside the iOS and Android WebViews. A development bundle, unminified and with source maps, is not representative of what users experience and is never accepted as sufficient.

04

Handoff Package - Not Just a Repository

Source code, the Capacitor iOS and Android projects, documentation, environment setup guide, API documentation, deployment and store credentials, and a post-launch runbook - all included in every Ionic handoff.

05

App Store Submission - Full Compliance Managed

Miracuves handles provisioning profiles, signing certificates, store listings, screenshot assets and compliance checks, and coordinates App Store and Google Play review for the Capacitor builds of your Ionic app.

06

Post-Launch Monitoring - 60-Day Active Support

Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics are configured before launch for the store apps, with error tracking on the PWA. Miracuves monitors crash rates, JavaScript errors and performance metrics during the 60-day post-launch support window - proactive, not reactive.

Frequently Asked

Questions about Ionic development at Miracuves

Something not covered here? Ask on WhatsApp and you will usually have an answer within two hours.

Ask us directly
Can Ionic apps feel genuinely native on iOS and Android?

Yes. With Capacitor native plugins and platform-aware UI, Miracuves ships Ionic apps that pass store review and feel native in gestures and navigation. PWA delivers web-native experience on desktop while app provides native feel on mobile.

How much does Ionic app development cost at Miracuves?

A PWA plus app hybrid starts from $3,699 and takes 2-8 weeks. Custom Ionic MVPs typically run $8,000-$30,000 over 2-8 weeks, depending on scope and PWA complexity. Ongoing development is available from $2,299/month for feature work and maintenance. Every quote is written before payment, with no surprise invoices after kickoff.

Does Miracuves deliver the full source code?

Yes - completely. Miracuves delivers the full Ionic codebase, Capacitor native projects, repository with complete commit history, environment configuration, API documentation, and all deployment credentials. Zero lock-in. Your own web developers, or any other Ionic team, can open the repository and the native projects and continue the work immediately after handoff.

How fast can an Ionic app realistically be delivered?

Scoped Ionic PWA+app deployments typically ship in 2-8 weeks. Custom Ionic products run 2-8 weeks with milestone billing. The timeline for each target - PWA, iOS and Android - is stated in writing before any payment is requested.

Ionic vs Flutter - which does Miracuves recommend?

Most Miracuves readymade clones are built in Flutter, chosen for delivery speed and identical UI on both stores. Choose Ionic when you have Angular/React/Vue engineers, need PWA+app hybrid from one codebase, or want shared components with an existing web portal. Miracuves tells you which fits before kickoff - we do not upsell the wrong stack.

What is included in the admin panel with every delivery?

A browser-based admin panel covering user management, orders and bookings, an analytics dashboard, content control, payouts and commissions, and platform configuration settings. It is delivered as a separate web application that works in any browser, and on an Ionic build it can reuse the API clients your PWA already uses.

Does Miracuves handle App Store and Google Play submission?

Yes, as part of every delivery engagement. Miracuves manages provisioning profiles, signing certificates, store listing creation, screenshot assets, compliance checks, and App Store review coordination. Review times are set by Apple and Google, not by us: most App Store reviews finish within a day or two, and Google Play reviews can take several days, longer for a new developer account.

What happens after the app is delivered if there are bugs?

Every Miracuves delivery includes 60 days of post-launch technical support. Bugs within the delivered scope, whether in the PWA, the iOS app or the Android app, are fixed at no additional cost. Feature additions beyond scope are quoted separately, and monthly maintenance retainers are available at published rates.

How does Miracuves handle NDA and confidentiality?

Miracuves signs a bilateral NDA before you share any project details, including access to your existing web codebase. The NDA covers all technical details, business logic and IP. An IP assignment agreement confirming 100% ownership transfers to the client is signed at project start - not at the end.

Can Miracuves take over or upgrade an existing Ionic or Cordova app?

Yes. We start by reviewing the repository and its plugin list, then upgrade in steps - framework version, Ionic version, then the move from Cordova to Capacitor one plugin at a time - so the app keeps shipping while the work happens. Apps on Ionic 1, which ran on AngularJS, are the exception: that stack needs a rebuild, quoted in writing as a custom build before work starts.

Can an Ionic web app rank in Google?

Only partly. An Ionic web app is a single-page app rendered in the browser; Google can crawl it, but it competes poorly with server-rendered pages for search traffic. For an Ionic web app or PWA we keep the logged-in product in Ionic and put the pages that need to rank - home, features, pricing, blog - on a separate server-rendered site on the same domain and design.

Do I need Swift or Kotlin developers for an Ionic app?

Not for most apps. Official and community Capacitor plugins cover the camera, geolocation, push notifications, filesystem, biometrics and in-app purchases, all called from TypeScript. Swift and Kotlin are needed only for a feature no maintained plugin covers, such as background location with custom rules or a hardware vendor's SDK. Miracuves writes those plugins as part of the build, so your web team does not have to.
