Miracuves builds AI voice agents that answer phone and in-app calls, qualify callers, book appointments into your calendar or CRM, and transfer to a person with a summary when needed. They run on your existing numbers over SIP, tell callers they are speaking to an AI, and can handle Indian languages. Custom builds take 2-8 weeks, and you own 100% of the source code.
Our Voice Agent Approach
How Miracuves builds AI voice agents - that callers do not hang up on
A voice agent is judged in the first few seconds of a call. If it pauses too long, talks over the caller or cannot be interrupted, people press zero or hang up, however good its answers are. So Miracuves designs the conversation timing first: streaming speech recognition, replies that start playing before the model has finished writing them, and an agent that stops mid-sentence the moment the caller speaks.
Behind the voice sits the same discipline as any agent that touches your systems. The agent reads your calendar or CRM through a short list of scoped tools, reads names, dates and amounts back before it books anything, and transfers to a person when the caller asks or the call leaves its script. Telephony, speech vendors and model are chosen per project, and every line of code is yours at handoff.
Who this service is built for: Clinics, service businesses, property and travel firms, lenders, logistics operators and support teams whose phones ring more than their staff can answer - missed booking calls, after-hours inquiries, the same status question fifty times a day, callers in several languages. It fits when most calls follow a handful of patterns: an AI receptionist for bookings, an AI phone agent for status checks, or an AI call center agent that takes the overflow. If your calls are long, emotional or unpredictable, a voice agent should take only the overflow and pass the rest to people, and we will say so before any commitment.
- Latency budget set per turn and measured on every test call: never judged by ear in a quiet demo
- Barge-in on by default: the agent stops speaking as soon as the caller starts
- AI disclosure and recording notice in the opening line, with consent logged per call
- A person is one request away: warm transfer that passes on what the caller already said
- Tested on your own recorded calls, accents and background noise before the first live call

"A clinic group with one overloaded front desk wants its booking line answered at peaks and after hours. The build puts an AI receptionist on the existing numbers over SIP, reading and writing the practice calendar through two tools - find_slots and book_slot - and confirming each booking on WhatsApp. It speaks Hindi, English and Marathi and follows callers who switch between them. Anything about symptoms, results or billing goes to the front desk with a summary of the call."
Ready-Made Platforms
Ready-made platforms a voice agent can sit on - the base launches in 6 days
Three of our 90+ ready-made platforms that suit a voice layer - each ships with its apps and admin panel in 6 days.
View All Ready-Made SolutionsChatGPT Clone
AI assistant with chat history and custom templates; its product page lists voice input and output in the app. A sound start for an in-app voice assistant - a phone agent on your numbers is custom work.
Uber Clone App
Passenger, driver and admin apps, plus a dispatcher panel for rides booked by phone - the calls a voice agent can take and turn into a booking on its own.
Amazon Clone
Multi-vendor store with catalog, cart, payments and order tracking - the data a voice line needs to answer "where is my order" calls without a person.
Honest noteA voice agent adds a phone line or a talk button to one of these platforms; it is not part of the 6-day delivery. The platform ships in 6 working days, and the voice layer is a custom build of 2-8 weeks on top of it. If most of your customers never call you, start with the app and a typed assistant instead.
Technology Comparison
AI Voice Agent vs IVR Menu vs Human Call Center - which fits your calls?
Good voice AI development starts by asking whether a voice agent is the right tool at all. The right choice depends on how predictable your calls are, how many arrive at once and what a wrong answer on the phone costs you.
AI Voice Agent
SIP + speech + LLM + tools
IVR Menu
Keypad or keyword tree
Human Call Center
Trained staff on shifts
Most of your calls are bookings, status checks, lead qualification or routine questions, you miss calls at peaks or after hours, and the answers live in a system the agent can read.
Your calls are few, long or emotionally charged, or callers mostly want one specific person. Typed conversations cost less to run and are easier to review. See Chatbot Development →
Voice agent guide
What to decide before you hire an AI voice agent development company
The decisions that make a voice agent pleasant to talk to or a reason to hang up: timing, telephony, languages, disclosure, running cost and when not to use one.
AI voice agent, IVR or chatbot - which one fits your calls?
An IVR plays a fixed menu and routes on key presses or keywords. A voice agent - sold also as a voice bot or conversational voice AI - lets callers say what they want in their own words, looks things up in your systems and finishes the task on the call. A chatbot does similar work in text, where people can scroll, paste an order number and read a long answer.
- Keep an IVR when all you need is routing to the right department.
- Choose a chatbot when customers already reach you by web chat or WhatsApp - it is cheaper per conversation.
- Choose a voice agent when your customers phone you, calls follow a few patterns, and missed calls cost you bookings or sales.
- If the work is multi-step back-office tasks with no caller on the line, a text-first AI agent is the better fit.
How fast does a voice agent need to reply, and what slows it down?
In conversation people expect a reply within about a second of finishing a sentence; much longer and they assume the line has dropped or start talking again. Delay builds up at each hop: deciding the caller has stopped, transcribing, the model thinking, any tool call, generating speech and the telephone network itself.
The fixes are structural. Stream every stage instead of waiting for the previous one to finish, start speaking the first sentence while the rest is still being written, host the pipeline close to your callers, use a small fast model for routine turns, and cover a slow calendar lookup with a short "let me check that". We measure time to first audio on every test call.
How does a voice agent connect to your phone system?
Most businesses keep their numbers. The agent receives calls through a SIP trunk from your carrier or office phone system, or through call forwarding - all calls, only after hours, or only when no one answers within a set number of rings. New numbers from a cloud telephony provider suit a new line or outbound campaigns.
Transfer is the part most often overlooked. Decide who receives transferred calls, what happens when they are busy, and whether they need a spoken or on-screen summary first. In-app voice skips telephony entirely and runs over WebRTC inside your app, which gives cleaner audio and lets the agent show what it just booked.
Can a voice agent handle Hindi, Tamil and callers who mix languages?
Yes, with testing. Speech-to-text and text-to-speech quality varies by language, accent and vendor, and Indian callers often mix Hindi or a regional language with English inside one sentence. Vendors differ in how well they handle that mix, in numbers and dates spoken in either language, and in local names and addresses.
So we do not pick a vendor from a spec sheet. We run your own recorded calls through two or three candidate speech models, compare the transcripts, and choose per language. The agent answers in the language the caller is using, and names, drug names or product codes it keeps mishearing go into a custom vocabulary. Where a language is weak, the flow asks the caller to confirm more often.
What must callers be told, and how are call recordings handled?
The agent says in its opening line that the caller is speaking to an AI assistant and, if the call is recorded, that it is recorded and why. Rules differ by country: several US states require every party to consent to recording, the US FCC treats AI-generated voices in outbound calls as artificial voices that need prior consent, and India's DPDP Act and TRAI rules cover personal data and commercial calls. Your legal team signs off the wording; we build it into every call path.
Recordings and transcripts live in your cloud, encrypted, with a retention period you set and automatic deletion after it. Card numbers and other sensitive details can be masked in transcripts or taken through your payment provider's keypad capture instead of being spoken to the agent.
What does a voice agent cost to run per minute?
The build is quoted once; the running cost grows with every minute of call time. The lines on the bill are telephony minutes and numbers, speech-to-text by audio minute, model tokens for each turn, text-to-speech by characters spoken, and hosting, recording storage and monitoring. A speech-to-speech model replaces three of those lines with one, at a different price.
We measure cost per call minute on the full test set before launch, so you can multiply by your real call volume and compare it with what a staff minute costs you. The levers are shorter replies, a smaller model for routine turns, caching repeated answers, and transferring early on calls the agent will not finish anyway.
When is a voice agent the wrong choice?
When calls are rare, the build and testing will not pay back. When most callers are upset, grieving or negotiating, they want a person and a voice agent makes things worse. When the answer depends on judgment nobody has written down, the agent will keep transferring and you will pay for both. And when your customers already prefer WhatsApp or web chat, text is cheaper and easier to review.
Other warning signs: no system the agent can read the answers from, no one on your side to own transferred calls, or rules in your sector that do not yet allow automated calls. In those cases we will suggest a chatbot, better call routing, or simply an extra person on the phones at peak times.
Technical Architecture
How Miracuves engineers structure AI voice agents for live calls
Three decisions are settled before the first call flow is written: how audio gets in and out, how the speech pipeline is arranged, and how the agent knows it is its turn to talk. Each one shows up on a live call as a pause, an interruption or a dropped line.
- 01
Telephony - SIP, Numbers and Transfer
Calls reach the agent over a SIP trunk from your current carrier, a number forwarded from your existing line, or a new number from a cloud telephony provider. In-app calls use WebRTC instead. Transfer is planned per flow: a warm transfer bridges the caller to your staff and passes on a written summary, and a cold transfer simply routes the call when no summary is needed.
- 02
Speech Pipeline - Streaming, Not Turn by Turn
The common build is streaming speech-to-text, a language model with tool calling, and streaming text-to-speech, each chosen for your languages. The newer option is a speech-to-speech model that hears and answers in one hop, which cuts delay but gives you less control over each step. We pick per project and measure the time from the caller going quiet to the first sound back.
- 03
Turn-Taking - Endpointing and Barge-In
Voice activity detection decides when the caller has finished. Set it too eager and the agent cuts people off mid-thought; set it too patient and every turn feels slow. We tune it on your recorded calls, keep barge-in on so the agent yields when talked over, and play a short acknowledgement while a slow tool call is still running.
Waiting for the full transcript before thinking. No barge-in. No way to reach a person. Reading long lists aloud that nobody can remember. Testing on studio audio instead of noisy 8 kHz phone lines. No disclosure that the caller is talking to an AI. Each of these makes callers hang up, and each is cheaper to design out than to fix after launch.
# Barge-in and transfer: the core of every call loop# The agent stops speaking the moment the caller doesasync def on_caller_audio(call, frame): if vad.is_speech(frame) and call.speaking: await call.tts.stop() # cut playback now call.speaking = False call.log("barge_in", at=call.clock()) text = await stt.stream(frame) # partial transcripts if text.is_final: await respond(call, text.value)async def respond(call, utterance): if wants_human(utterance): return await call.transfer( to=FRONT_DESK, summary=call.summary()) reply = llm.next_turn(call.history, tools=TOOLS) async for chunk in reply: # speak while it writes call.speaking = True await call.tts.say(chunk)

Enforced QA Gates
Six gates before a voice agent goes live
Every voice agent release - its call flows, prompts, tool definitions, voice settings and model choice - must clear all six gates below before it takes live calls.
Call-Flow Review on Every Pull Request
Call flows, prompts, tool definitions and voice settings are reviewed by a senior Miracuves engineer before they merge. A change to what the agent says is treated like a code change: reviewed, replayed against the test calls, never edited live.
Replayed Against Real Calls
Unit tests for every tool, then a replay of your recorded calls and scripted test callers - different accents, background noise, people who interrupt, change their mind or switch language. The replay must pass before a release is cut.
Latency and Cost per Minute Measured
Each release candidate records time to first audio per turn, transfer rate, drop rate and cost per call minute across the full test set. One good demo call is not evidence; the numbers from every test call are.
Handoff Package - Not Just a Repository
Source code, call flows, prompts, tool definitions, voice and language settings, number and SIP configuration, the test call set, documentation and a runbook for your team, with every telephony, speech and model key in your own secrets manager.
Go-Live With a Human Fallback
Miracuves deploys into your cloud and your telephony account, with rate limits on every tool and a fallback route: if the agent or a vendor is down, calls ring through to your staff instead of failing. Rollback to the previous flow version is one step.
Post-Launch Listening - 60-Day Active Support
Call dashboards, transcripts and tool logs are live before the first real call. During the 60-day support window Miracuves reviews transferred, dropped and failed calls every week and fixes the flow, prompt or tool behind them before callers notice a pattern.
Technology Stack
The voice AI stack Miracuves builds with
Telephony, speech and model vendors are chosen per project by language, latency and where your data may go. Each is a tool we integrate, and each can be swapped.
Our Process
From first call recording to a live voice agent - what happens and when
A voice agent project runs in five steps, and at each one you know what Miracuves is building, what you need to supply - numbers, sample recordings, calendar or CRM access - and what you receive. The 6-day pill is the ready-made platform sprint; a custom voice agent runs milestone by milestone with the same checkpoints.
- Step 01
Brief & NDA
Tell us your call mix on WhatsApp. NDA signed before you share any recordings.
- Step 02
Scope & Plan
Call flows, numbers, languages and transfer rules agreed. No payment before scope.
- Step 03
Build & Demo
Weekly demo calls on a test number you can ring yourself.
- Step 04
QA & Polish
Replayed on your recorded calls: accents, noise, interruptions, transfers.
- Step 05
Launch & Handoff
Live on your numbers with a human fallback. Code and docs handed over.
What you line up for a voice agent
The build time is ours. What can add time sits with you and your carrier: forwarding or porting the numbers, business caller ID and outbound-calling registration where your country requires it (in India, under TRAI rules for commercial calls), recording-consent wording signed off by your legal team, and API access to your calendar or CRM. We list each one on the first call so you can start them in parallel.
Transparent Pricing
What AI voice agent development costs at Miracuves
A voice agent has two costs: the build, quoted once, and the running cost for every minute of call time. We publish the first and measure the second on your own test calls before launch. No hidden fees after scope is agreed.

Why Miracuves publishes pricesA voice agent pays off only if a minute it handles costs less than a minute your staff handle. Knowing the build price up front lets you do that sum early; if your scope needs a bigger budget, we show which languages, integrations or call flows drive it.
What affects AI voice agent cost at Miracuves
The ready-made platform price stays fixed when scope matches the base product. A custom voice agent scales with: the number of call flows (booking, status, qualification, payment reminders), how many languages and accents it must handle, inbound only or outbound calling too, the systems it reads and writes (calendar, CRM, practice or order software), the transfer and after-hours rules, recording and retention requirements, and whether speech models must run in your own cloud.
Typical AI voice agent budget ranges
- Ready-made platformfrom $2,1996 working days
- Custom voice agent MVP$8,000-$25,0002-8 weeks depending on scope
- Ongoing retainerfrom $2,299/month for tuning, new flows and maintenance

Example engagement
What a typical AI voice agent build looks like at Miracuves
An illustrative example of a typical project of this kind, with client details anonymized. Figures show what this kind of build targets, not a named client's results.
A clinic group in India misses booking calls at morning peaks and after hours, and its callers move between Hindi, English and Marathi in one sentence. This is the kind of AI receptionist Miracuves builds for that problem, and what such a build targets.
- 01
The Challenge
One front desk answers every location. Calls ring out while staff check in patients, voicemail is rarely returned, and patients who cannot get through book elsewhere. A press-1 menu was tried and callers pressed zero.
- 02
What Miracuves Builds
A voice agent on the existing numbers over SIP that discloses it is an AI, finds and books slots in the practice calendar, confirms on WhatsApp, and transfers anything clinical or billing-related to the front desk with a summary. Tested on the clinic's own recorded calls before go-live.
- 03
What the Build Targets
Every call answered, including at peaks and after hours. Routine bookings and reschedules completed without staff. Every transferred call arriving with the caller's name, reason and preferred slot already captured, so the patient never repeats themselves.

What clients say about building with Miracuves
Named Miracuves clients, in their own words. They built conversational, booking and healthcare products with us - not necessarily voice agents - and each card says what they built. Read every testimonial on our client testimonials page.
"Conversational workflows, knowledge-base integration and the automation layer were already built. We connected our own data sources and tuned multilingual accuracy for support and lead qualification. The team now runs the whole AI operation from one place."
"We were running a few dozen properties off a static site, email and a phone. Calendar, booking flow and the property manager came off the shelf. They added a channel manager for our OTAs, a guest portal and a multilingual interface. The operations team no longer lives in the inbox."
"Miracuves's MXHealth base gave us the doctor and patient apps, the booking flow, and the prescription module. They added our custom payment gateway with the UPI and card rails we needed, plus a reconciliation module tied to our finance stack. We launched in 11 weeks."

Frequently Asked
Questions about AI voice agent development at Miracuves
Something not covered here? Ask on WhatsApp and you will usually have an answer within two hours.
Ask us directlyHow long does it take to build an AI voice agent?
A custom voice agent takes 2-8 weeks. One inbound call flow in one language, connected to one calendar or CRM, sits at the shorter end. Several languages, outbound calling, payment steps or many connected systems sit at the longer end; anything larger is quoted in writing before work starts. The timeline is agreed in writing before any payment.
How much does AI voice agent development cost at Miracuves?
A ready-made platform starts from $2,199 and ships in 6 working days; the voice agent on top is custom work. A custom voice agent MVP typically runs $8,000-$25,000 and takes 2-8 weeks depending on scope - the number of call flows and languages, inbound or outbound calling, the systems it reads and writes, transfer rules, recording requirements and where the speech models run decide where it lands. Ongoing tuning is available from $2,299/month. Every quote is written before payment, with no surprise invoices after kickoff.
Can the voice agent answer on our existing phone numbers?
Yes. The usual routes are a SIP trunk from your current carrier or phone system, or forwarding your existing number to the agent, for example only after hours or when your staff do not pick up within a few rings. Porting numbers to a new provider is optional and rarely needed. Your callers dial the same number they always have.
Can it book appointments straight into our calendar or CRM?
Yes, if the system has an API. The agent checks free slots, books, reschedules or cancels through scoped tools, then sends the confirmation by SMS, WhatsApp or email. Common targets are Google and Microsoft calendars, CRMs such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho, and clinic or salon booking software. Without an API, the agent captures the request and your staff complete it.
What happens when a caller asks for a human?
The agent transfers the call. In a warm transfer your staff member sees or hears a short summary - who is calling, why, and what the agent has already done - before the caller is connected. Outside working hours the agent takes a callback request with the same details instead. The request for a person is honored at any point, not only at the end of a flow.
Can we choose or clone the voice the agent speaks with?
You choose from the voices your text-to-speech provider offers, per language, and we tune speed and pronunciation of your brand, product and place names. A custom voice cloned from a real person is possible only with that person's written consent, and we do not clone public figures. Whichever voice you pick, the agent still tells callers it is an AI.
Does the voice agent work inside our app as well as on the phone?
Yes. The same agent, tools and call flows can sit behind a talk button in your iOS, Android or web app, connected over WebRTC instead of a phone line. In-app audio is usually clearer than a phone call and can show the booked slot on screen while the agent is speaking.
How do you stop the agent from saying something wrong on a call?
By limiting what it may say. Prices, availability and order details come only from your systems through tools, never from the model's memory. General answers come from approved documents through retrieval. The agent reads names, dates and amounts back before acting, declines medical, legal and financial advice, and transfers when unsure. Every call is transcribed, so mistakes are found and fixed.
Can the agent make outbound calls for reminders, follow-ups or lead qualification?
Yes, where the law and your consent records allow it. Outbound flows cover appointment reminders, payment reminders, delivery confirmations and first-round lead qualification. We add calling-hour windows, do-not-call checks, retry limits and an opt-out on every call. In the US, AI-voice calls need prior consent; in India, commercial calls fall under TRAI rules. Your compliance team approves the list and the script.
Do you provide support after the voice agent goes live?
Every delivery includes 60 days of post-launch support. During that window Miracuves reviews transferred, dropped and failed calls each week, fixes the flows or tools behind them, and watches latency and cost per minute on the dashboards. Bugs within scope are fixed at no cost. After that, a monthly retainer from $2,299 covers new flows, languages and model updates.
