Our Solidity Approach
Who this Solidity service is for — and when to choose another approach
Miracuves builds Solidity smart contracts for DeFi startups launching lending protocols, NFT marketplaces, and tokenization platforms on Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains. We also serve enterprises building private blockchain solutions that need Solidity expertise for their smart contract layer, and established protocols upgrading legacy contracts to modern Solidity 0.8.x with OpenZeppelin security patterns and comprehensive test coverage targeting 95% or higher across all critical contract functions and edge cases.
Our Solidity engineering team has designed, developed, and audited smart contracts for protocols managing over $50M in combined total value locked, with deployments on Ethereum mainnet, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base. Every contract follows our security-first development methodology: formal verification of critical functions, extensive test coverage with both unit and integration tests, gas optimization profiling, and audit preparation documentation that has helped multiple client projects pass CertiK, Hacken, and Consensys Diligence audits with zero critical findings on the first submission cycle.
Who this service is built for: Founders and product teams launching DeFi protocols, NFT marketplaces, DAO governance systems, or tokenization platforms on Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains — who need audit-ready Solidity contracts, not prototypes. Miracuves Solidity development fits when you want production-grade smart contracts with published pricing, full IP ownership, and a company accountable for delivery — not individual developers. If your project depends on high-throughput parallel processing on Solana, we will say so upfront and recommend Rust on Solana instead of Solidity on EVM.
Every contract uses OpenZeppelin audited standards — ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, Governor, Timelock — battle-tested and community-reviewed
Foundry fuzz testing and invariant testing on every project — catch edge cases before mainnet deployment
Hardhat deployment scripts with Etherscan verification — automated, reproducible multi-chain deployments
Security audit preparation included — CertiK, Hacken, or Consensys Diligence documentation package
Gas optimization profiling on every contract — minimize user transaction costs without sacrificing security
From our Solidity engineering team — DeFi Lending Protocol, 18 days
"A Singapore-based DeFi startup needed a secure Solidity lending protocol with flash loans, multi-collateral pools, and Chainlink price oracles audited and deployed on Ethereum mainnet within 18 days before a liquidity mining campaign launch. The protocol required support for multiple collateral types including ETH, WBTC, and several ERC-20 tokens, each with dynamic loan-to-value ratios calibrated to asset volatility, and an automated liquidation engine that could protect depositor funds while giving borrowers fair warning before positions were closed. We delivered the complete protocol — including Foundry fuzz tests achieving 98% coverage, Certora formal verification of the liquidation logic, and a comprehensive audit preparation package — with the mainnet deployment and Etherscan verification completed on day 17."

Honest note: Solidity is right for most smart contract projects due to ecosystem breadth and tooling maturity. For high-throughput DEXs needing sub-second finality, Solana Rust may outperform. For simple vault contracts where auditability is paramount, Vyper is worth evaluating. Miracuves recommends honestly.
Technology Comparison
Solidity vs Rust (Solana) vs Vyper — which smart contract language is right for you?
Most blockchain development companies push the stack they know. Miracuves evaluates all three — your choice of smart contract language determines security, ecosystem access, and long-term maintainability.
| Criterion | Solidity (EVM) ← MIRACUVES DEFAULT |
Rust (Solana) | Vyper (EVM) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dominant ecosystem | Best — Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche | Solana, NEAR | Ethereum — niche |
| DeFi TVL access | Highest — Ethereum alone $40B+ TVL | Growing — Solana $5B+ TVL | Minimal |
| Developer community | Largest — 200K+ Solidity devs worldwide | Growing — 50K+ crypto Rust devs | Small — 5K+ |
| Tooling maturity | Excellent — Hardhat, Foundry, OpenZeppelin | Good — Anchor, Solana CLI | Limited |
| Audit availability | Widest — CertiK, Trail of Bits, Consensys, Hacken | Available — multiple firms | Limited |
| Standard libraries | Most extensive — OpenZeppelin Contracts | Growing — SPL Token, Anchor | Minimal |
| Contract upgradeability | Proxy patterns — UUPS, transparent, beacon | BPF loader upgradeable | Available but less tested |
| Learning curve | Moderate — JS-like syntax, accessible | Steep — Rust ownership model | Moderate — Python-like syntax |
| Security track record | Mature — battle-tested across 10K+ protocols | Growing — improving rapidly | Good — simpler language |
| Layer 2 readiness | Native — all L2s support Solidity natively | Limited — fewer L2 deployments | Compatible — EVM-equivalent L2s |
When Miracuves recommends Solidity
You need broadest EVM ecosystem access · maximum audit firm availability · DeFi/cross-chain project · large dev team hiring pool · future-proof L2 compatibility.
When Rust or Vyper makes sense
Rust (Solana): high-throughput DEX, low-latency order books, Solana-native ecosystem. Vyper: security-first simple contracts where readability matters most. Miracuves can advise on either. Ask our engineering team →
Technical Architecture
How Miracuves engineers structure Solidity smart contracts for production
These are the specific decisions our engineering team makes on every Solidity project — choices that determine whether a contract ecosystem is secure and upgradeable or becomes a liability that needs to be rewritten from scratch.
Architecture — Proxy Patterns and Layered Design
Every contract follows the UUPS (Universal Upgradeable Proxy Standard) pattern — logic and storage are separated, so upgrades don't touch user funds. The proxy delegates calls to a single implementation contract, and storage collisions are prevented through unstructured storage slots (EIP-1967). This is how Miracuves deploys upgradeable token contracts without requiring users to migrate balances.
Security — Defense in Depth
Every contract implements reentrancy guards (OpenZeppelin's ReentrancyGuard), role-based access control (Ownable + AccessControl), and emergency circuit breakers (Pausable). External calls follow the checks-effects-interactions pattern religiously. Miracuves eliminates the most common exploit vectors on day one as a hard standard — not a suggestion.
Testing — Foundry Fuzz and Invariant Testing
Every project ships with Foundry fuzz tests that hammer your contract functions with random edge-case inputs, plus invariant tests that verify protocol-level properties hold under any sequence of calls. We maintain minimum 90% branch coverage and run the full suite before every deployment — debug builds are never used as a benchmark.
Gas Optimization — Efficient Contract Design
Storage packing (tightly packing uint256 variables in fewer slots), using calldata over memory, and choosing the right data structures (mappings over arrays where possible) are built into every contract. We profile gas consumption per function with Foundry gas reports and optimize the hot paths — every deployment is benchmarked against a gas budget.
What most Solidity agencies get wrong
Unvalidated external calls vulnerable to reentrancy attacks. No emergency pause mechanism or circuit breaker. Centralized owner control over upgradeable proxies without timelock governance. Hardcoded gas limits that break on Arbitrum and other L2 chains. No differential fuzz testing before mainnet deployment. Miracuves has inherited every one of these — starting correctly is always faster than cleaning up.

Why Miracuves publishes prices: Clients who
understand cost upfront make better product decisions. If your project requires a larger budget, Miracuves will
explain exactly why — not simply charge more.
What affects Solidity project cost at Miracuves
Clone contract pricing stays fixed when scope matches the base product. Custom Solidity builds scale with: number of contract functions and state variables, external oracle and protocol integrations (Chainlink, Uniswap, LayerZero), access control complexity and multi-sig requirements, gas optimization and audit depth, and cross-chain deployment scope.
Typical Solidity budget ranges
Standard contract: from $2,499 · 3–9 days.
Custom protocol: $8,000–$25,000 · 4–10 weeks depending on scope.
Ongoing retainer: from $2,299/month for feature work and maintenance.
Every quote is written before payment — no surprise invoices after kickoff.
Client Reference
What a real Solidity project looks like at Miracuves
A DeFi startup building a cross-chain lending protocol needed smart contracts that could handle multiple collateral types, dynamic interest rates, and liquidation automation — all while passing a rigorous third-party security audit before launch.
01
The Challenge
The existing prototype used a monolithic contract architecture with no separation of concerns. Liquidation logic was hardcoded, interest rate models were fixed, and there were no emergency pause mechanisms. The team needed a production-grade rewrite that could pass a Trail of Bits audit.
02
What Miracuves Delivered
Designed and deployed a modular lending protocol with OpenZeppelin-based ERC-4626 vaults, a Chainlink-powered price oracle system, and a Foundry-tested liquidation engine. Implemented role-based access control, timelock governance, and a multi-sig emergency pause mechanism. Full test suite with 95%+ branch coverage using Foundry fuzz and invariant testing.
03
Outcome
Protocol launched on Ethereum mainnet in 10 weeks. Third-party audit passed with zero critical findings. TVL reached $4.2M in the first month. Liquidation engine processed 200+ positions without error. The modular architecture allowed adding two new collateral types within a week of launch.

Client Testimonial
“We had a prototype that worked in demo but would have failed an audit. Miracuves re-architected the entire protocol with proper separation of concerns, added a Chainlink oracle system, and built a Foundry test suite that caught edge cases we never considered. The Trail of Bits audit passed with zero criticals — that was the milestone that unlocked our fundraise.”

Frequently Asked
Questions about Solidity development at Miracuves
What Solidity versions does Miracuves support?
Miracuves develops all smart contracts in Solidity 0.8.x, targeting the latest EVM version for optimal gas efficiency. We support the full range from 0.8.0 through 0.8.28, and can migrate existing contracts from older versions as part of any engagement. Our Foundry-based test suite ensures backward compatibility across compiler versions.
Does Miracuves deliver the full source code?
Yes — completely. Miracuves delivers the full Solidity source code, Foundry test suite, Hardhat deployment scripts, environment configuration, and all deployment credentials. Zero lock-in. Your team or any other smart contract developer can take over the project immediately after handoff.
How does Miracuves ensure smart contract security?
Every contract passes through multiple security layers: Slither static analysis on every commit, Foundry fuzz and invariant testing for edge case coverage, peer review by senior Solidity engineers, and — for mainnet deployments — an optional third-party audit from firms like Trail of Bits or OpenZeppelin. We have never shipped a contract with a critical vulnerability.
What standards and protocols does Miracuves work with?
Miracuves has deep experience with ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-4626, ERC-3643, and ERC-4337 standards. We integrate with major protocols including Chainlink oracles, Uniswap V3/V4 swaps, LayerZero cross-chain messaging, The Graph subgraphs, and Aave lending pools. Custom protocol integrations are quoted per engagement.
What is the typical timeline for a smart contract project?
A standard ERC-20 token or NFT contract with Foundry tests, Hardhat deployment, and Etherscan verification ships in 3–9 days. A custom DeFi protocol with multiple contracts, oracle integrations, and third-party audit readiness takes 4–10 weeks depending on scope. All timelines are stated in writing before any payment is requested.
Does Miracuves handle Ethereum mainnet deployment?
Yes, as part of every delivery engagement. Miracuves manages multi-sig deployment setup, Etherscan source code verification, contract interaction documentation, and deployment script delivery. We support all major EVM chains including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain, and Avalanche. Cross-chain deployments are quoted per engagement.
What happens after the contract is deployed if there are bugs?
Every Miracuves delivery includes 60 days of post-deployment technical support. Bugs within the delivered scope are fixed at no additional cost. For upgradeable contracts (using the UUPS or transparent proxy pattern), upgrades are deployed through the existing multi-sig. Feature additions beyond scope are quoted separately.
How does Miracuves handle NDA and IP ownership?
Miracuves signs a bilateral NDA before any project details are shared. The NDA covers all technical details, business logic, and IP. An IP assignment agreement confirming 100% ownership transfers to the client is signed at project start — not at the end. No code or contract logic is ever reused across clients.
