Etsy Clone App: A Marketplace Built for Many Small Sellers
A launch-ready marketplace for independent makers, where the hard problem is the seller side rather than the buyer side. A thousand sellers listing five items each behaves nothing like fifty sellers listing a thousand, and every part of onboarding, moderation, commission and payout has to assume the former.
Six surfaces, one REST API. A buyer storefront and Android app, a seller panel and seller app, a delivery agent app, and an operator console spanning catalog, orders, finance, marketing and configuration.

⚡ Platform at a Glance
Sellers Onboard Themselves
Registration with KYC and document upload, then an operator approval step. At a thousand sellers you cannot interview anyone, so the pipeline has to hold quality without holding people up.
Commission Per Seller, Not Per Platform
A rate set globally, per category, per seller or per product. That granularity is what lets you sign a maker worth signing without repricing everybody else on the marketplace.
Subscriptions With Listing Limits
Tiered plans carrying product-count caps, reduced commission and featured placement. Small sellers start free or cheap and upgrade to list more, which is the natural revenue curve for this model.
Moderation Is Continuous
A queue of seller-submitted listings with approve, reject and bulk actions, plus full editing rights over anything on the platform. With many small sellers this is a daily shift rather than an occasional check.
Support Is a Conversation
Buyer-to-seller chat with attachments, alongside a threaded ticket queue. Custom requests, sizing questions and made-to-order arrangements all happen here, because there is no product-options builder in the base platform.
Owned, Not Rented
Full source, your branding, your commission rate, your gateways, deployed on your infrastructure in six working days.

Video Walkthrough
Etsy Clone Video Demo: Storefront, Vendor Flow and Operator Console
A walkthrough of the platform as an operator sees it, rather than a feature reel. It follows a single order from a customer search through the vendor queue and the delivery handover, then shows the same order in the admin console with its status history, its tax lines and the wallet entries it produced on both sides. The catalog and moderation screens follow, then vendor subscriptions and commission, then the configuration surface where gateways, currencies, languages and delivery zones are set. If a specific flow matters more than the tour, ask and we will open it live with data in it.
App Flows
Etsy Clone App Screens: Customer, Vendor, Delivery and Operator
The interface across the surfaces that matter: home and category browse, search with filters, the product page with its variant matrix and reviews, the multi-vendor cart and checkout, the vendor order queue and wallet, the deliveryman assignment feed with OTP handover, and the operator console.

Client Reviews
Marketplace Builds We Have Shipped
We have not yet deployed this multi-vendor commerce platform for a named client, so nothing below is presented as a Etsy Clone reference. These are approved quotes from operators who launched other Miracuves marketplaces built on the same foundations: vendor onboarding and approval, a merchant console, dispatch to a delivery fleet, and commission and payouts on one ledger.
Proof in Production
Marketplace Reference Deployments: India and Thailand
Two modelled reference deployments showing how this platform is configured for two very different commerce markets. Both are illustrative scenarios rather than client engagements, built only from capabilities that ship in the base build. Real client deployments, with their own reported figures, are published on the Miracuves portfolio.
India
COD-Led Multi-Vendor Marketplace
How the platform is configured for a marketplace where cash still closes a large share of orders and growth runs outward from the metros into tier-2 and tier-3 towns.
- Cash closing the order at the door, days after it was placed, with stock and commission already committed
- Tax rates that differ by product category and by state, needing a line on every invoice
- Buyers who do not shop in English and convert badly against an English storefront
- Delivery that reaches some pin codes reliably and others not at all
- Take cash without inventing the accounting for it in a spreadsheet
- Open a new town only once a delivery route genuinely exists
- Set commission per category rather than one flat rate across electronics and apparel
- Run the storefront in the language the market actually reads
- Cash on delivery with a server-verified code at handover
- A cash-collected balance carried per agent, settled to the operator wallet
- Operator-set handling fee on cash orders
- Zip allowlists deciding where checkout is offered at all
- Tax classes bound per zone with per-product rules
- Languages and currencies configured across web and three Android apps
- Seller onboarding with KYC and per-seller commission
This is a modelled reference deployment, not a client engagement. Every capability listed above ships in the base build and is demonstrable in the live demo. The figures are properties of the platform, not results reported by a customer.
Thailand
Provincial and Cross-Border Marketplace
How the same platform is configured where one catalog has to serve Bangkok, the provinces and neighbouring markets, each with different delivery economics and a different currency.
- Delivery economics that differ sharply between a dense Bangkok route and a provincial or island one
- Buyers who expect to pay on arrival rather than in advance
- Selling into neighbouring markets that quote in a different currency
- A second market usually meaning a second deployment to keep in step
- Serve provinces and capital from one catalog without one subsidising the other
- Quote every buyer in the currency they recognise
- Add a neighbouring market as configuration rather than a second platform
- Keep the last mile, and the cash, under the operator brand
- Zones with per-category shipping cost overrides
- A currency catalog whose default drives checkout display
- Cash on delivery with per-agent reconciliation
- Delivery fleet with pickup and delivery checkpoints
- Multi-language storefront across every surface
- Nine order statuses with a full status history per order
- One REST API serving storefront, seller panel and all three apps
This is a modelled reference deployment, not a client engagement. Every capability listed above ships in the base build and is demonstrable in the live demo. The figures are properties of the platform, not results reported by a customer.
The Basics
What Is a Etsy Clone App?
A Etsy Clone is a ready-made marketplace for independent sellers: makers list their own work, buyers browse and purchase, your agents handle delivery, and you take commission on each sale. The backend is Laravel 12 across 131 normalized MySQL tables, with one REST API serving the storefront, the seller panel, the operator console and three Flutter Android apps.
Sellers
Self-service registration with KYC, operator approval, per-seller shops with their own profile, subscription tiers with listing limits, and a moderation queue between a new maker and the shop front.
Conversation
Buyer-to-seller chat with attachments, reviews with image upload and seller replies, and a threaded ticket queue for anything that needs you rather than them.
Money
Four wallets, an append-only history per actor, commission set per seller and split on completion, withdrawal queues and per-gateway settlement records.
Built for Web, Android, Vendor & Delivery
What Is a Etsy Clone Script?
The economics of a maker marketplace are unusual. Each seller is small, so no single one matters much, but there are a great many of them and the cost of serving each has to be near zero. That means onboarding without interviews, moderation that works in bulk, commission that can differ per seller without a spreadsheet, payouts that run as a queue rather than as favours, and support that sellers largely handle themselves through chat. All of that is what this platform is.
-
Self-service seller registration with KYC and documents
-
Commission set per seller, category or individual product
-
Subscription tiers carrying product-count limits
-
Moderation queue with bulk approve and reject
-
Buyer to seller chat with attachments
Everything on this page is in the base build unless it is labelled configuration-required or integration-required. Gateway credentials, SMS, push and AI keys are operator-supplied because they are your accounts, not ours.
Features
Etsy Clone Features: Catalog, Checkout, Fulfilment and Payouts
Everything below is in the base build and demonstrable in the live demo. The order runs from the seller side outward, because on a maker marketplace that is where the work is. Anything your model does not use switches off from the console.
Seller Onboarding
Self-service registration with KYC and document upload, reviewed by an operator before anything publishes, with a shop profile and storefront created on approval. At this seller count the pipeline has to hold quality without a human interview.
- Self-service registration with KYC and documents
- Operator approval before anything publishes
- Per-seller shop profile and storefront
- Suspension and reinstatement from the console
Commission Per Seller
A rate set globally, per category, per seller or per individual product, taken on completion and reversed on refund. Signing one maker on better terms never means repricing the rest of the marketplace.
- Commission set globally, per category, per seller or per product
- Subscription tiers with product-count limits
- Reduced commission as a paid tier benefit
- Trial period and grace on failed billing
Seller Subscriptions
Tiered plans carrying product-count limits, reduced commission, featured placement and priority support, with a trial and a grace period on failed billing. Small sellers start cheap and upgrade to list more.
- Moderation queue with approve, reject and bulk actions
- Full editing rights over any listing
- Reviews with image upload and seller replies
- Buyer to seller chat with attachments
Moderation at Volume
A queue of seller-submitted listings with approve, reject and bulk actions, and full editing rights over anything on the platform. With many small sellers this is a daily shift rather than a periodic review.
- Featured, most-demanded and best-selling rails
- Deal of the day and time-boxed flash deals
- Dedicated clearance storefront for short-dated stock
- Restock subscriptions notifying customers on return
One Cart, Many Makers
A cart spanning several independent sellers, split at checkout into per-seller orders while staying one purchase to the buyer, with guest carts merged on login.
- One cart spanning several vendors at once
- Guest cart tracked by session and merged on login
- Save for later and move to wishlist
- Shipping estimated per vendor before checkout
Checkout and Coupons
Coupon, wallet balance and loyalty points applied together, shipping selected per vendor, and order placement guarded by an idempotency check.
- Coupon, wallet and loyalty applied together
- Flat or percentage, scoped to product, category or cart
- Free-shipping coupons and per-user usage limits
- Order placement guarded by an idempotency check
Order State Machine
Nine statuses from pending payment to delivered, with cancelled, returned and failed as terminal branches, and every transition written to a status history.
- Nine order statuses from pending payment to delivered
- Per-line delivery status allowing partial fulfilment
- Status history with actor, note and timestamp
- Field-level edit history on any operator change
Buyer to Seller Chat
Direct conversation with attachments, which is where custom requests, sizing questions and made-to-order arrangements actually happen. There is no product-options builder in the base platform, so the chat is the mechanism.
- Refund request with reason and evidence
- Its own status machine preventing double-spend
- Instant wallet credit or gateway settlement
- Loyalty points reversed on cancellation
Seller Wallets and Payouts
Each seller carries their own balance with an append-only history, requests a withdrawal, and is settled from a queue. At a thousand sellers, payouts have to be a process rather than a series of favours.
- Customer, vendor, deliveryman and operator wallets
- Append-only history row per balance movement
- Top-up through any configured gateway
- Add-fund bonus tiers set by the operator
Loyalty and Referral
Points earned on order value or per category, redeemed at checkout, converted to wallet balance, plus referral codes with rewards on both sides.
- Points earned on order value or per category
- Redeemed at checkout against the order total
- Converted to wallet balance on request
- Referral codes rewarding both sides
Delivery and COD
Assignment feed, accept and reject, pickup and delivery checkpoints, live location, OTP verification at the door and a cash-collected balance per agent.
- Assignment feed with accept and reject
- Live location broadcast while in transit
- One-time code verified at the door
- Cash collected tracked per agent and reconciled
Reviews With Photographs
Ratings and reviews carrying image upload with seller replies. For handmade work, a photograph from a real buyer is the only proof of quality a listing can offer.
- Ratings and reviews with image upload
- Vendor replies on any review
- Customer to vendor chat with attachments
- Support tickets with threaded conversations
Note for buyers: every feature above is white-label and switchable per deployment. Note also what is absent: there is no made-to-order flow, no personalization or engraving options and no quote workflow. Custom arrangements run through buyer-to-seller chat, and a product-options builder is custom work we scope rather than a setting.
Monetization
Etsy Clone Revenue Models: Commission, Subscriptions, Delivery and Placement
On a maker marketplace commission alone is fragile, because individual order values are small and sellers are price sensitive. The durable revenue is the subscription: a listing fee paid whether or not anything sells. Six lines run on one ledger and combine against the same order.
Commission on Sales
A percentage set globally, per category, per seller or per product, taken from the seller wallet on completion and reversed on refund. Per-seller rates let you reward volume without a blanket cut.
Seller Subscriptions, the Real Line
Tiered plans with listing limits, reduced commission, featured placement and priority support, billed on a cycle. This is revenue that arrives whether or not a maker sells anything that month, and on this model it is usually the line that funds the business.
Delivery Margin
A configurable mark-up on the shipping charge, a handling fee on cash-on-delivery orders, and a settlement fee applied when an agent withdraws.
Featured Placement
Paid banners and sponsored positions on search and category pages. Small sellers buy visibility more readily than they accept a higher commission, because the cost is theirs to control.
Wallet Float
Buyer top-ups and seller balances rest with the platform between payout runs. With many small sellers withdrawing on different cycles, that float is meaningful and continuous.
White-Label Deployment
The platform itself can be resold. Agencies and networks run a branded marketplace per client or per territory from the same codebase.
Want a revenue model that fits your market? commission bands, subscription tiers and delivery margin are all operator-set. Book a call and we will map the levers against the volumes you actually expect.
Control Center
Etsy Clone Admin Dashboard: Catalog, Orders, Payouts and Configuration
With a thousand sellers the console is mostly two queues: who wants to join, and what they just listed. Every module sits behind its own permission, so a moderator clears listings all day without reaching business settings, and a finance clerk runs the payout queue without touching the catalog.
Operator Control
Seller Approval Queue
Pending registrations with their KYC documents, approved or rejected with a note. This is the gate that decides what the marketplace becomes, and at this volume it has to be quick without being careless.
Listing Moderation
Seller-submitted listings with approve, reject and bulk actions, plus full editing rights over anything published. Bulk is what makes it survivable when a hundred new listings arrive daily from a hundred different people.
Cross-Seller Orders
Every order across every seller with a status timeline, field-level edit history, expected-delivery changes, manual override with a reason, and invoice generation.
Refund Queue
Requests with reason and evidence, approved or rejected with a note, settling as wallet credit or back down the original rail. On handmade goods the dispute is usually about expectation rather than defect, so the evidence trail matters.
Payout Queue
Seller and agent withdrawal requests with approve, deny and mark-processed. With many small sellers on different cycles this runs continuously rather than monthly, so it has to be a queue rather than a task.
People and Plans
Buyer directory, seller approval, suspension and subscription management, and agent approval, suspension and zone assignment.
Marketing Surface
Banners, featured slots, the daily deal, platform and per-seller coupons, and composers for push, email and SMS, which is how a small maker gets discovered without buying ads.
Tax Configuration
Tax classes and rates bound per zone, per-product tax rules through a polymorphic binding, inclusive or exclusive display, and a per-order tax line breakdown.
Business Settings
Commission, loyalty ratio, OTP lifetime, currencies, languages, delivery countries and zip allowlists, shipping methods and per-category cost overrides, all as configuration.
- Pending seller registrations with their KYC documents
- Listing moderation queue with bulk actions
- Payout queue running continuously across the roster
- Seller count, active shops and roster growth
Reports and Exports
Sales, seller, product, buyer, wallet, refund, withdrawal and tax reports over any range, exported to Excel, CSV or PDF. Seller-level reporting is what tells you which makers are worth keeping.
- Per-seller commission and subscription tier
- Suspension and reinstatement with a reason
- Per-route SEO metadata and an auto-generated sitemap
- Structured data on listing and blog pages
Need deeper governance? age-gated categories, country-specific catalog rules, per-vendor document expiry or a four-eyes approval on payouts can all be added as custom modules. Ask and we will scope it.
Pricing
How Much Does It Cost to Build a Etsy Clone App in 2026?
The white-label platform is $2,499 as a one-time purchase, deployed in six working days. That covers the source code, the customer storefront, the vendor panel, the operator console and all three Android applications, installed on your infrastructure under your branding. Building the same surface from scratch is an eighteen to thirty month programme with a senior team, and stitching it from separate commerce, logistics and payout products means three subscriptions, three security reviews and integration work that never quite finishes. What the fixed price does not include is anything that is yours to own: gateway credentials, an SMS and email provider, a Firebase project, an OpenAI key, catalog data and the tax rates for your jurisdictions. Custom modules and deeper changes are quoted separately after scoping, typically two to eight weeks.

Where It Fits
Etsy Clone Use Cases: Retail, Grocery, Fashion & Cross-Border
The platform is the same in every case below. What changes is which modules are switched on and which part of the operating model leads.
General Retail Marketplace
A general marketplace with many vendors across many categories, an unlimited category tree, brand pages and a moderation queue holding quality. Commission and vendor subscriptions carry the revenue, and the delivery fleet keeps the last mile under your brand rather than an aggregator.
Grocery and Daily Essentials
Grocery leans on the parts other commerce platforms treat as edge cases: stock that moves quickly, restock subscriptions telling customers when an item returns, a clearance storefront for short-dated goods, and a delivery fleet with cash collection at the door.
Fashion and Lifestyle
Fashion is a variant problem. Colour and size resolve to SKU-level rows with independent price and stock, product galleries carry the range, and reviews with image upload do the work that description copy cannot.
Electronics and High-Value Goods
High-value electronics need the audit surface. Every order carries a status history and a field-level edit log, OTP verification proves the handover happened, and the refund pipeline keeps a defensible record when a dispute arrives.
Digital Goods and Media
Digital goods ship without a courier. Downloadable products carry their own variants and an OTP verification that enforces single-use access, with authors and publishing houses modelled for books and media catalogs.
Cross-Border Commerce
Cross-border rollouts use the multi-currency table, the translation store, delivery country codes and zip allowlists, and per-zone tax profiles, so one deployment serves several markets under one operator console.
Not sure which of these you are? most operators are a blend of two. Book a call and we will map your catalog, your vendor mix and your fulfilment model against what the platform already does.
Why Now
Why Launch a Multi-Vendor Marketplace in 2026?
The case for a maker marketplace is rarely about software. It is that the incumbents have raised fees repeatedly on sellers who have nowhere else to go, and a community with an alternative will move if the alternative works.
Seller Fees Are the Opening
Independent makers watch platform fees closely because those fees come out of a small margin. An operator who sets their own rate, and can keep it, has the clearest possible pitch to a community that feels squeezed.
You Own the Customer
Email addresses, order history, wallet balances and repeat-purchase behaviour sit in your database, which is what makes direct marketing and a loyalty programme possible at all.
A Community You Already Have
Anyone who already runs the fair, the forum or the guild starts with the hard half solved. Sellers follow the community rather than the software, and the platform is the missing piece rather than the business.
Sellers Are the Scarce Side
Buyers are replaceable, a roster of makers is not. Owning the relationship, the payout terms and the shopfront is what keeps that roster from being poached later.
Curation Is a Real Differentiator
Global platforms cannot police who joins at their scale, so quality drifts. An operator who decides who gets in has something the incumbents structurally cannot offer.
One Substrate, Not Five
Commerce, logistics, content, AI and payouts in one codebase means one vendor contract, one data model and one security review rather than five of each.
Why Launch
The numbers below are platform facts, not market projections: they describe what ships in the build rather than what the sector is forecast to do. Market sizing varies by source and we would rather quote our own schema than someone else forecast.
Tech Stack
Etsy Clone Tech Stack: Laravel 12, Flutter, MySQL and Redis
A conventional, hireable stack. Nothing here is exotic, which is deliberate: the developers who maintain this after handover should already know it.
Backend and Business Logic
PHP 8.2 · Laravel 12 · nWidart Modules
- Controller to service to repository to model, with transactions at the service boundary
- 114 Eloquent models over 131 normalized MySQL tables
- Modules for AI, Blog and Tax that enable and disable without touching core
- Observers, events and listeners driving notifications and ledger writes
Mobile Applications
Flutter · Dio · Provider with GetIt
- Customer, vendor and deliveryman builds from one shared architecture
- Sanctum bearer tokens with role claims for seller and delivery agents
- Firebase Cloud Messaging per app, with topic subscriptions
- Google Maps in the deliveryman build for pickup and drop-off routing
Data and Caching
MySQL 8.x · Redis 7.x · InnoDB
- utf8mb4 throughout, soft deletes on customer, vendor, agent and product rows
- Composite indexes on the hot paths, including vendor with status and created date
- Redis for cache, queue and session, with a database queue as fallback
- Append-only wallet histories so any balance can be re-derived
Payments and Settlement
Eleven gateways · Offline · COD
- Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Mercado Pago, Iyzico, PhonePe, Paytm, PayUZ, SSLCommerz, Flutterwave and PayTabs
- Signature verification at the webhook boundary, idempotent by gateway transaction id
- Operator-defined offline methods with manual verification
- Cash on delivery reconciled through a dedicated agent transaction table
Communications and AI
FCM · Twilio · Vonage · OpenAI
- Push through Firebase Cloud Messaging to all three apps
- SMS through Twilio or Vonage, email through SMTP or Amazon SES
- OpenAI for product descriptions, SEO copy and image alt text
- Per-feature token quotas with tokens and cost logged per call
Storage and Delivery
S3-compatible · Intervention · CDN
- AWS S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, Wasabi or MinIO through Flysystem
- Image optimization and responsive variants generated on a queue
- WebP conversion where the client supports it
- CDN recommended at the edge for static and media assets
Note for tech buyers: the Etsy Clone is structured so your own team can take it over. Standard Laravel conventions, a documented schema, reversible migrations and a modular boundary for anything custom.
How It Works
How the Etsy Clone Works: Browse, Buy, Fulfil and Settle
One order, followed end to end, across all four surfaces and both ledgers.
How It Works
Discover and Add to Cart
A customer arrives and finds a product through whichever route suits them.
- Category tree, brand directory or keyword search with autocomplete
- Filters on price, brand, rating, vendor and attributes, with sort options
- Product page with gallery, variant picker, stock indicator and reviews
- Added to a cart that can hold items from several vendors at once
Checkout and Pay
The cart splits by vendor and the totals resolve before any money moves.
- Shipping address selected, with a method chosen per vendor
- Coupon, wallet balance and loyalty points applied together
- Payment through one of eleven gateways, an offline method or cash on delivery
- Placement guarded by an idempotency check so a double submit cannot duplicate
Vendor Accepts and Packs
Each vendor sees only their own portion of the order.
- Order lands in the vendor queue with buyer and item detail
- Accepted or rejected with a reason, then marked packed and ready
- Stock decremented automatically at the SKU level
- Packing slip and invoice generated as PDF
Assign and Collect
The operator or the auto-assignment job puts the order in front of an agent.
- Assignment appears in the deliveryman feed, accepted or rejected
- Navigation to the vendor for pickup, then to the customer
- Live location broadcast while the order is in transit
- Status checkpoints written with a timestamp and a geo position
Verify and Hand Over
The handover is proved rather than asserted.
- One-time code verified at the door against a time-boxed record
- Cash collected on COD orders and written to the agent balance
- Order moves to delivered and the customer is notified on push, email and SMS
- Delivery trail retained for the SLA and dispute record
Settle and Reconcile
The money resolves across four wallets in one transaction.
- Commission split between operator, vendor and delivery agent
- Vendor balance credited and the platform commission debited
- Cash collected reconciled from the agent balance to the operator wallet
- Every movement paired with an append-only history row and a reference id

Architecture
Etsy Clone Platform Architecture and Backend Flow
Layered Backend
Controller for the HTTP boundary, service for orchestration and transactions, repository for data access, Eloquent for the entity. Business rules live in one layer, not scattered across controllers.
Modular Packaging
AI, Blog and Tax ship as nWidart modules with their own routes, migrations and providers, so an operator can disable one without touching the core application.
Event-Driven Side Effects
Order placed, status changed, vendor approved, payout requested and refund processed each emit an event. Listeners fan out to notifications, ledger writes and analytics.
Queues and Scheduler
Redis-backed workers under Supervisor handle images, PDFs, email, push and AI calls. A cron scheduler runs commission recalculation, subscription renewals, abandoned-cart reminders and backups.
Append-Only Ledgers
Wallet histories, order status histories, order edit histories and refund statuses are written, never updated, so the financial and operational record can be replayed and audited.
Horizontal Scale
A stateless application tier behind a load balancer, MySQL with read replicas for reporting, Redis for cache and queue, and S3 with a CDN for media.
Build to Scale
Built to Scale: Catalog Depth, Order Volume and Fleet Load
The scaling pressure here is unusual: a very wide seller table and a very long tail of listings, most of which are viewed rarely and none of which can be dropped. Search and moderation feel it before order volume ever does.
A Very Long Tail
Most listings on a maker marketplace are viewed rarely, which makes caching less effective than it is elsewhere and indexing more important. Category rails, banners and settings still come out of Redis, but the long tail is served by indexed queries and server-side pagination, with related models eager loaded so a browse page never resolves seller data one row at a time.
The Seller Table Is the Wide One
A thousand sellers each with a shop, a wallet, a subscription and a document set makes the seller side wider than the order side for a long time. Indexes sit on seller with status and on the approval and payout queues, because those are the screens an operator lives in rather than the ones buyers touch.
Chat and Notifications Dominate
On a maker marketplace the message volume outweighs the order volume, because every custom arrangement is a conversation. Push fan-out, mail and image processing run as queued jobs under Supervisor with failed-job capture and retry, so a busy chat day never slows a checkout.
Fleet Write Volume
A delivery fleet writes continuously while it is working. Location updates run on their own queue rather than synchronously inside a request, and delivery histories and notifications are natural candidates for time-based partitioning at the storage layer once the fleet is large enough to justify it.
Long-Tail Indexing
Most listings are rarely viewed, so the tail is served by indexes and pagination rather than by cache, with rails and settings still coming from Redis.
Seller-Side Indexes
Approval and payout queues, seller status and subscription state carry the indexes, because on this model those are the screens under constant load.
Chat Volume on Queues
Message notifications, mail and image processing all run off the request, which matters when conversation traffic outweighs order traffic.
Fleet Write Load
Delivery histories and notifications are candidates for time-based partitioning, and location updates are written on their own queue rather than synchronously.
Search Headroom
MySQL full-text carries the baseline. Elasticsearch or Meilisearch drops in behind the same service interface when the catalog outgrows it.
Archive Path
Closed orders older than twelve months move to an archive table on the same schema, keeping the hot table small without breaking joins or reporting.
Search Beyond MySQL
MySQL full-text and indexed columns carry the baseline, which is enough for most catalogs. Elasticsearch or Meilisearch can be introduced behind the same search service interface with index sync on a queue, so outgrowing the default is a configuration and infrastructure change rather than a rewrite.
Note for founders and CTOs: you can start on a single modest instance and still be on a credible path to scale, because nothing here needs replacing to get there. The drivers change, the code does not.
Security
Etsy Clone Security: OWASP-Mapped, GDPR-Ready and VAPT-Ready
A marketplace of many small sellers has a specific exposure: a thousand accounts you did not interview, each holding a balance and each able to reach an API. Tenant scoping is therefore enforced in the repository layer rather than trusted to a query filter, so no seller can read another one records by editing an id. Every wallet movement writes a history row in the same transaction as the balance it changes, so a disputed payout can be replayed. Card numbers never reach your server because the gateway hosts the fields, and API tokens carry explicit abilities rather than blanket access.
Security headers are yours after handover
Rate limits ship at sane defaults, not tuned ones
Captcha is available and off by default
A WAF is recommended and not included
Two-factor is configurable, not mandatory
Dependency audits are a standing task
Built to the Controls
Argon2id password hashing, encrypted session cookies with HttpOnly and SameSite, CSRF tokens on every state-changing web route, and mass-assignment protection across models.
GDPR-Ready
Soft deletes on customer, vendor and agent rows, a per-user JSON export, account deletion with a grace period before PII is purged, and marketing that requires explicit opt-in.
A Thousand Tenants, Properly Scoped
Seller and agent scoping enforced in the repository layer with model policies on read and write, and API token abilities mapped to permission slugs. At this seller count, isolation is the control that matters most.
Payment Integrity
Card numbers are never written anywhere. Webhook signatures checked at the boundary, transactions made idempotent by gateway id, and refunds held behind a status machine so nothing settles twice against a seller balance.
Untrusted Seller Content
Every listing description, shop profile and chat message comes from someone you never met. Eloquent parameterization throughout, form-request validation on every write, Blade escaping on output, and Mews Purifier over all rich text.
Audit Trail
Seller approval decisions, listing moderation actions, order and refund transitions, wallet histories per actor, and an error log in the console. When a maker disputes a suspension, the record is what settles it.
The honest position on certification: the controls below are built, and the platform is ready for a penetration test and for the evidence-gathering that ISO 27001 or SOC 2 require. Neither certificate is held, and neither is claimed. Several items are also deployment-layer responsibilities that we configure but you own after handover, and they are named as such below rather than folded into a compliance claim.
Advance Add-Ons
Etsy Clone Add-Ons: Search, Analytics, Integrations and Automation
The base build covers the marketplace. On this model the extensions arrive in a predictable order: an options and quote builder first, then better search, then seller analytics. Each is scoped and quoted rather than bundled.
Options and Quote Builder
Configurable product options, personalization fields and a request-a-quote workflow, so custom work stops living entirely in chat. This is the single most requested extension on a maker marketplace and it is genuinely not in the base build.
Seller Analytics
Per-seller performance scoring, cohort retention across the roster and long-tail listing analysis on a read replica, which is how you find out which of a thousand makers actually carry the marketplace.
External Search
Elasticsearch or Meilisearch behind the existing search service with index sync on a queue, for a long-tail catalog where MySQL full-text has stopped surfacing the right things.
Loyalty and Membership Tiers
A paid membership with free delivery and member pricing, layered over the existing loyalty points and wallet, in the style buyers now expect.
Wholesale for Makers
Tiered pricing per buyer group, minimum order quantities and trade terms, for the makers on your platform who also sell to shops rather than only to individuals.
Sponsored Placement Engine
A self-serve advertising surface where vendors bid for position on search and category pages, with budget control and delivery reporting.
Observability Stack
Prometheus and Grafana or a vendor equivalent, log aggregation and OpenTelemetry tracing, for operators who need more than the built-in error log.
iOS Builds
The three Flutter projects compiled, signed and submitted for the App Store, with the review cycle and the store assets handled alongside.
Building in Commerce and Logistics? We Have the Whole Market Covered.
The same foundations under this platform carry several adjacent products. If your model is closer to one of these, start there instead.
Amazon Clone
The same marketplace platform positioned for general multi-vendor commerce rather than a long tail of small independent sellers.
Instacart Clone
Grocery marketplace with store partners, personal shoppers, substitution rules and weight-based pricing.
UberEats Clone
Food ordering with restaurant onboarding, menu management, order routing and a courier dispatch fleet.
Gojek Clone
Multi-service super app running ride-hailing, delivery, courier and a marketplace from one shared account.
Marketability
Marketability, Revenue Potential and Business Prospects
On a maker marketplace the value tracks seller count more than order count, because the subscription line bills whether or not anything sells. The scenarios below are illustrative arithmetic on operator-set inputs, not a forecast and not a promise.
Subscriptions Are the Stable Line
Listing plans bill monthly whether or not a maker sells, which on a long-tail marketplace is the revenue that actually holds. Commission rides on top of it rather than carrying the business alone.
Every Seller Is a Subscription
A listing plan bills monthly whether or not a maker sells, so revenue tracks roster size rather than order volume, which is a far steadier line on a long tail.
Placement Beats Commission Rises
Small sellers resist a higher cut but will pay for visibility they control. Featured slots and sponsored positions grow revenue without the churn a fee increase causes.
The Asset Is the Roster
A community of makers who trust you is far harder to rebuild than the software they sell through. The platform is what lets you own that relationship rather than rent access to it.
- Commission on every order, set globally, per category or per vendor
- Vendor subscription plans with product limits and reduced rates
- Delivery margin on the shipping charge and a COD handling fee
- Featured placement and sponsored positions sold to vendors
- Settlement fee applied when a vendor or agent withdraws
- Wallet float held between payout runs, with add-fund bonus tiers
- An owned sales channel rather than a rented listing on another platform
- A customer database you can market to directly, with order history attached
- A vendor network that is an asset in its own right
- A commission rate you set rather than one set for you
- Last-mile delivery under your brand rather than an aggregator
- Source code that can be extended, licensed or resold
Example Revenue Scenarios
On these numbers: each scenario is arithmetic on inputs an operator chooses, shown to make the levers concrete. They are not projections, and Miracuves does not guarantee any commercial outcome. The six days is our deployment window for the base platform, not your route to market.
Community turning into a marketplace
Makers onboarded in year one
An operator who already runs the fair, the forum or the guild converts that community into sellers, charging a listing plan and a commission on each sale.
Plan price, commission and placement fees are all yours to set. The platform is bought once; what recurs is hosting, gateway fees and the moderation time a growing roster demands.
Vertical marketplace launch
Working days to deployment
A founder with a supplier network launches a focused catalog rather than a general store, competing on relevance instead of breadth.
Deployment time is our build time on the base. Catalog loading, vendor recruitment and market entry are the operator work and set the real timeline.
Agency running white-label deployments
Codebase, many branded marketplaces
A studio deploys the same platform per client or per territory, each fully branded, from one codebase it already knows.
Per-deployment licensing is a commercial conversation rather than a page price. What the platform provides is the branding depth and module toggles that make repeat deployment practical.
Why Miracuves
Miracuves vs Other Etsy Clone Developers
There are many ways to get a marketplace: generic commerce scripts, freelancers, agencies, or owning the platform outright.
Why Founders Choose Miracuves
Fixed Price, Not a Range
The number is $2,499 rather than "starting at". Scope is written down before anything is built, and changes to it are quoted rather than absorbed silently.
Built for the Seller Side
Self-service onboarding, per-seller commission, listing-limited plans and bulk moderation. Most marketplace scripts assume a curated handful of vendors and quietly fall apart at the five hundredth.
Source Code on Handover
Backend and all three Flutter projects land in your repository. Nothing obfuscated, no licence server, and no vendor able to raise your seller fees on your behalf later.
Six Working Days
Installed on your servers with queue, scheduler and storage running. Nothing is being invented, so the week is setup and branding rather than build.
A Hireable Stack
Laravel, MySQL, Redis and Flutter. Whoever maintains this after us can be recruited normally rather than found through us.
Honest Readiness Labels
Configuration-required and integration-required items are marked as such throughout this page. What needs your credentials is named rather than implied as included.
Compare & Discover Why Operators Choose Us for Multi-Vendor Commerce
| Criteria | Miracuves Etsy Clone | Generic Clone Script | Custom Dev Agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Time to Launch | 6 days (Production) | Unknown / DIY | 6-9+ months |
| Source-Code Ownership | ✔ Full | Often limited / encrypted | Usually yes |
| Feature Depth (Etsy-like) | High (catalog, payouts, fleet) | Basic (single-vendor storefront) | Depends on budget |
| Security & Compliance | Strong (built to the controls, GDPR-ready) | Minimal | Varies widely |
| Scalability & Performance | Cloud & CDN-optimized | Rarely considered | Depends on architecture |
| Monetization Options | Multiple (commission, plans, delivery) | Usually commission only | Custom (more time & cost) |
| Admin & Analytics | Full-fledged dashboard | Very basic or missing | Custom build (extra cost) |
| Cost vs Speed vs Quality | Balanced | Cheap but risky | High cost, slow |
| Ongoing Support & Updates | Available with clear plans | Usually none | Depends on contract |
The comparison that decides this build is what happens at the five hundredth seller. Software written for a curated handful of vendors starts to creak on onboarding, moderation and payouts long before it struggles with orders.
Industries
Industries We Serve
The Etsy Clone suits any operator whose sellers are many and small. Craft and handmade marketplaces use self-service onboarding and continuous moderation. Art and print platforms lean on photo reviews and seller storefronts. Vintage and resale communities need per-seller commission and fast suspension. Digital goods sellers use the downloadable product tables. Cooperatives keep individual identities under one roof. Regional artisan platforms curate who gets in. Hobby and niche verticals trade on community trust rather than price, and creator storefronts use the wallet and payout queue as their whole back office.

FAQ
Etsy Clone FAQ: Pricing, Features, Payments and Deployment
Everything you need to know about the Miracuves Etsy Clone App.
A ready-made marketplace for independent makers. Sellers register themselves, list their own work and receive payouts, buyers browse and purchase, your agents handle delivery, and you take commission on each sale. It ships with a web storefront, a seller panel, an operator console of role-scoped modules and three Flutter Android apps. What makes it a maker marketplace rather than generic retail is that everything on the seller side assumes many small sellers rather than a few large ones.
Same platform, different operating model on the page. The Amazon Clone is written for the general multi-vendor marketplace. This page is written for a marketplace of many small independent sellers, so it leads on self-service onboarding, commission set per seller, subscription tiers with listing limits, continuous moderation and buyer-to-seller chat. Same product, same price. Choose by whether you expect fifty sellers or five thousand.
The white-label platform is $2,499 as a one-time purchase, deployed in six working days on your infrastructure under your branding. An options and quote builder, or any other extension, is scoped and quoted separately, typically two to eight weeks.
Source yes: the full Laravel backend and all three Flutter projects transfer into your repository at handover, nothing obfuscated, no licence callback, no dependency on us afterwards. iOS no: the base price covers the three Android builds, which is usually the right call for a maker marketplace. App Store builds, signing and submission are quoted separately.
Eleven are integrated: Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Mercado Pago, Iyzico, PhonePe, Paytm, PayUZ, SSLCommerz, Flutterwave and PayTabs. Operator-defined offline methods and cash on delivery are also built in. Each gateway needs your own merchant credentials, which is why they are labelled integration-required.
Not as a product feature, and this is the question maker marketplaces ask first, so here is the straight answer. There is no configurable options builder, no engraving or personalization fields and no quote workflow. What ships is buyer-to-seller chat with attachments, which is where custom arrangements are actually agreed. An options and quote system is custom work we scope and quote rather than a switch to enable.
Entirely self-service, which is the only way this model works. A maker registers, uploads KYC documents and a shop profile, and lands in an approval queue. An operator approves or rejects with a note, and on approval the shop and storefront exist immediately. Nobody is interviewed, and nothing publishes before a human has looked at it.
Their own shop: product CRUD with variants and stock, AI-assisted descriptions, an order queue, refund responses, buyer chat, sales analytics, a wallet and a withdrawal request flow, from the web panel or the Android app. For a maker selling a handful of items, that is the whole business rather than a supplementary tool.
Yes, and on this model it matters. Commission is set globally, per category, per seller or per individual product, taken on completion and reversed on refund. That granularity lets you offer better terms to a maker worth keeping without repricing everybody, and subscription tiers can carry reduced rates as a paid benefit.
As a queue rather than a series of transfers. Each seller carries their own wallet with an append-only history, requests a withdrawal against operator-defined methods, and you approve, deny or mark it processed. With hundreds of sellers withdrawing on different cycles that has to be a process, and the history is what makes any disputed balance re-derivable.
It drafts product descriptions, SEO titles, tag suggestions and image alt text through OpenAI, with per-feature token quotas and a cost log per call. On a maker marketplace this is genuinely useful, because most sellers are craftspeople rather than copywriters. It runs on your own OpenAI key, so it is integration-required.
The controls are built: Argon2id hashing, CSRF protection, parameterized queries, HTML sanitization over untrusted seller content, repository-level tenant scoping, webhook signature verification and append-only ledgers. It will stand up to a penetration test and to ISO 27001 or SOC 2 evidence gathering. We hold neither certificate and claim neither.
Anything properly yours: gateway merchant approval, an SMS and email provider, a Firebase project, an OpenAI key, and above all seller recruitment, which on this model is the entire business and takes far longer than any build. Six days is our deployment window for the base platform, not your route to market.
