Expedia Clone Development Cost: $3,999, Fixed
What makes an international travel marketplace expensive to build is not the search box. It is integrations with airline, hotel and activity providers on other continents with a fallback for each, a payment layer that routes more than one currency, visa, currency and insurance products sold beside the trip, location rules by country, and partner portals, all before the first overseas booking is taken.

Five routes to selling trips across borders, and what each leaves you owning.
| Route | Typical cost | What you end up owning |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic booking script | $500 - $3,000 | One currency and one supplier. Everything international is what is missing |
| Affiliate links to a global marketplace | Free to start | A referral fee, and no customer, no data and no margin of your own |
| Miracuves ready-made | $3,999 fixed | Global supply, currency routing and trip services, in six working days |
| Custom agency build | $100,000 - $350,000 | A bespoke marketplace, and supplier integration work measured in quarters |
| Enterprise programme | Six figures and up | A large team and eighteen months or more before the first international sale |
These ranges describe what comparable scope tends to sell for; they are not offers from us. Ours is the highlighted row and it holds after scoping. The affiliate row deserves a second look: it is the cheapest start and the one that leaves you with nothing you can sell.
What the Price Includes
The full marketplace rather than a single app, with the international machinery included rather than promised.
No licence fee and no share of bookings in any market you open. Your ongoing costs are hosting and the accounts you choose, listed further down this page.
What Moves the Number
On an international build the add-ons cluster around language, local payment and local supply, and the first two often apply from day one.
Translated interfaces
The platform ships English-first. Every additional interface language, including translated emails, notifications and content fields, is scoped and quoted. If your launch market does not read English comfortably, this is not an optional extra, so it belongs in the first conversation.
Right-to-left layout
A mirrored interface for Arabic, Hebrew and Urdu audiences is not in the base platform at all. For a launch aimed at the Gulf or North Africa it is built to your market as separate work, and it touches every screen, which is why we quote it rather than estimate it casually.
Local payment methods
One gateway serves each currency zone. A country where travelers pay with a local wallet or bank transfer rather than a card needs that method added alongside Stripe as a regional integration, quoted against the specific provider.
Regional supplier integrations
A specific airline, bed bank, rail operator or activity provider that your chosen market relies on, connected and placed into the routing order. Worth naming early if your proposition depends on inventory the global connectors do not carry.
Channel distribution and seasonal pricing
Two-way rate and availability sync between listed properties and outside booking channels, and margins that adjust by market, season, demand or booking window instead of one fixed margin per category. Both are scoped once you know which markets and properties need them.
Separate brands and lifecycle marketing
Distinct domains, branding and catalogues per country or partner on one shared core, and fare alerts, abandoned-search reminders and campaigns segmented by origin market and loyalty tier. Each is quoted before it starts.
Every item is quoted in writing before work begins and none is assumed into the fixed price. Custom features and integrations typically take two to eight weeks.
The Six-Day Path to Live
What happens in the six working days, and what has to start in parallel in each market you open.
Pick the launch markets and start approvals
Which origin or destination markets open first, which currency each one pays in, and which accounts must begin today: Stripe and Razorpay approval, supplier accounts that cover those markets, messaging sender registration in each country and app store accounts. Those set the real date, so they start before anything else.
Branding and storefront
Name, logo, palette and domain across the website, both apps and every portal, destination banners and seasonal deals scheduled, and categories you are not opening yet switched off. If a translated interface or right-to-left layout is needed, its scope is agreed here as a separate add-on.
Deploy and connect the supply chain
Containers onto your cloud behind TLS, PostgreSQL and Redis provisioned, gateways connected for each currency zone, email, SMS and maps credentials entered, and the supplier accounts already approved placed into their routing order, with demo inventory covering the rest.
Set markets, margins and trip services
Categories enabled per market, a margin, fixed fee and floor per category, location rules by country, service fees on visa, currency and cover, agent commission, cancellation policies, loyalty rules, business travel plan tiers and staff roles across the team.
Walkthrough and handover
A traveler books a flight between two countries and a hotel near the old town, adds a tour and travel cover, and pays by card in a non-rupee currency through Stripe. The console shows the supplier and margin, and finance approves a partial refund after a date change.
The support window
60 days of guidance, 6 months of priority bug fixes and 12 months of updates. Translations, local payment methods and regional suppliers for the next market usually run inside that window on their own scoped schedule.
Six working days covers the standard platform with your branding, markets, categories, margins and payment routes. Gateway, supplier and messaging approvals in each country run on those providers' timelines.
Regional Development Rates
A from-scratch international marketplace cannot be priced honestly without knowing your team. What can be stated is its shape, eighteen months or more of senior engineering, and what an hour of that costs where you might hire.
| Region | Senior engineer, blended hourly | What an 18-month-plus programme implies |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore and Australia | $90 - $180 | Often the outbound market being served, which puts a from-scratch build firmly into seven figures |
| Gulf and Middle East | $60 - $130 | Close to the traveler, and a right-to-left interface adds its own months on top |
| United Kingdom and Western Europe | $90 - $170 | Deep travel-technology experience, priced accordingly once employer costs are counted |
| North America | $120 - $220 | The top of the range, and still a long wait for the first supplier integration to certify |
| Eastern Europe | $45 - $95 | A common route for supplier integration work, where specification quality decides everything |
| India and Southeast Asia | $25 - $60 | The lowest rate, and still many engineer-years for global supply and multi-currency checkout |
Why we give you the rate instead of the total
A single total would be guesses about your team, your region and how well you specify the international half, presented as a finding. Search screens are what every estimate prices. What consumes the time is integrating airline, hotel and activity feeds that each behave differently, ranking fallbacks so an outage does not stop sales, routing each currency to a gateway that accepts it, checking entry rules by nationality, blocking markets you cannot serve, and keeping a refund correct when the supplier, the gateway and the traveler all retry at once.
Indicative blended hourly figures for travel and marketplace engineering, published so you can do the multiplication yourself. They are not quotes and not market statistics.
Why the Price Is Fixed, Not "Starting At"
What a fixed number commits us to
The scope is the demo. Traveler, consultant, vendor, admin, sub-admin, owner and finance logins sit on one live demo. There is no discovery phase that discovers the price was optimistic, because the platform already exists.
No share of bookings in any market. Your spread on supplier rates, your vendor and agent commissions and your trip service fees are yours in every country you trade in.
No charge per market. Opening a second or third country is configuration on the same deployment and costs nothing extra from us. Translations or local payment methods that market needs are quoted separately and in advance.
The boundary is named before purchase. English-first interface, no right-to-left layout, one gateway per currency zone, India GST vendor documents, and live supply on your own accounts are all stated here and on the hub.
What is never part of the price: a best-price guarantee on fares, an uptime figure, or a compliance certificate. Those depend on your suppliers, your hosting and your own audits in each market.
Hidden Costs Most Quotes Leave Out
None of these are ours to charge. On an international marketplace several of them repeat in every country you open.
Supplier agreements abroad
Flight, hotel and activity suppliers each have their own commercial terms, onboarding and approval process, and some expect deposits or credit arrangements before they release live inventory to a new travel business. It is usually the longest lead time on the plan.
Cross-border card fees
International cards and currency conversion carry higher processing fees than domestic payments, and refunds do not always return them. A fee per payment method helps recover some of it, but it is a real line against a margin that is often narrow.
Messaging in each country
One-time codes, confirmations and reminders go out by SMS as well as email and push, and several countries require sender registration before a message will deliver. The cost scales with bookings and the paperwork repeats per market.
Translation, if your market needs it
The interface ships in English. A launch in a non-English market needs translated screens, emails and notifications, and content that reads naturally, which is scoped work plus ongoing copy for every new destination page you publish.
Support across time zones
A traveler abroad with a problem is rarely in your office hours. The ticketing and chat are built with the booking attached, but the people answering from another continent at night are a genuine operating cost.
Local compliance
Data protection, consumer and payment rules differ by country, and so do tax obligations for vendors outside India. Confirming each market's obligations before launch is advisory and legal work that sits outside any software price.
The first sets when you can sell live inventory at all. The rest scale with the number of markets rather than the number of bookings, which is worth knowing before you plan to open five countries in a quarter.
