v2026 - Capture Pipeline

Likee Clone App - White-Label AR Filter Video Platform

The camera, the filter picker and the edit step, handed over as source code.

A short-video build where creation is the product. The creator records in takes, picks a filter when you have enabled one, trims on a filmstrip, lays text or a sticker over the frame, and the file is re-encoded before it is posted. AR comes from DeepAR, which is an optional integration on keys you register yourself.

Features like reels, filters, and real-time engagement worked seamlessly. Their team was responsive, detail-oriented, and actually cared about long-term scalability - not just delivery.”

03The product

What Is It

What Does a Likee Clone App Mean?

A Likee Clone App is a finished short-video product you launch under your own name, built around the recording, filter and publish loop people already know from apps like TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. The camera, the edit step, the feeds, the live rooms and the coin economy are already written, so your work starts at branding rather than at an empty repository.

The build is vertical first: a Flutter app for Android and iOS, a Laravel web app, and one admin panel sitting behind both of them.

With Miracuves, your Likee clone arrives:

  • running on Android, iOS and the web
  • rebrandable down to the splash screen
  • wired to a working admin panel
  • documented, with the source tree handed over
TikTok clone shown across desktop, tablet, and mobile with platform analytics, social commerce, creator video feeds, products, and business tools

One Codebase, Three Clients

Android, iOS and the browser read the same Laravel API, so a filter row you upload once shows up in all of them.

Yours Down to the App Icon

App name, logo, palette, splash screens and interface language are settings rather than a code branch you maintain.

The Pipeline Is Already Written

Recording, trimming, baking and publishing exist on day one, so you are not funding a video toolchain before you have a user.

The Engine

What Is a Likee Clone Script?

A short-video clone script is the code underneath all of it: the Flutter app, the Laravel API and web app, the MySQL schema and the admin panel. You get the tree to read, extend and deploy, instead of a hosted account you rent by the month.

Desktop social-commerce marketplace featuring footwear, apparel, cameras, categories, prices, and product browsing

Taking the Likee clone script means you get:

  1. 01The whole source tree, with no module held back
  2. 02A 6-day path to live instead of a 6-month build
  3. 03No standing dependence on us to keep it running
  4. 04Room to add your own screens, jobs and integrations later

In simple words: a Likee clone app is the shortest honest route to owning a short-video platform: a working camera-to-post pipeline, a documented backend, and the code in your hands, with the branding and the business model decided by you.

Features

Likee Clone App Features - Camera, DeepAR Filters and the Edit Step

These are the creation surfaces, described as they are built. The camera, the trim bar, the overlay canvas and the publish sheet all ship. AR filters ship as a picker that reads rows you upload, driven by DeepAR on your own keys. The advanced editor and auto-subtitle packs are recorded as not enabled, and the pay-reel editing the product roadmap calls advanced is out of scope in the current version.

Feature 01 / 12

Camera and Multi-Take Recording

Record a reel in segments and keep the camera session alive between takes.

  • Front and rear capture for reels, feed video and stories
  • A segment button ends the current take without closing the camera
  • An undo chip drops the last take before the takes are joined
Feature 02 / 12

DeepAR Filters, On Your Own Keys

AR filters come from DeepAR, an optional integration you enable and key in yourself.

  • The is_deepAR setting switches the filter picker on or off
  • Each filter row carries a title, a preview image and the filter file
  • No license ships with the code: the DeepAR keys are yours to obtain
Feature 03 / 12

The Edit Step Before Publish

Trimming and filters sit between the camera and the post sheet.

  • The trim bar draws a 12-frame filmstrip with draggable start and end handles
  • Confirming re-encodes the clip and reloads the player on the new file
  • A filter is applied here whenever one is enabled for the app
Feature 04 / 12

Text and Sticker Overlays

Layers are positioned on the paused frame and written into the file.

  • Text up to 80 characters, escaped before it reaches the encoder
  • Gallery stickers drag to a position stored as a percentage, not a pixel
  • A single bake pass burns every overlay into the output file
Feature 05 / 12

Recording Speed, Baked Not Previewed

Speed is written into the file rather than left to the player to fake.

  • The app retimes each take with FFmpeg when the take is confirmed
  • The browser camera encodes through ffmpeg.wasm before the upload starts
  • The 3x case chains atempo twice to stay inside the filter limits
Feature 06 / 12

The Browser Editor Panel

Seven tools in the web panel, with the advanced pack deliberately left off.

  • Trim, cover frame and speed on the real encode path
  • Cut, center crop, merge, and an audio choice of keep, mute or replace
  • No timeline, transitions or audio mixing unless the advanced pack is turned on
Feature 07 / 12

The Publish Sheet

Caption, tags, place and visibility are all decided in one screen.

  • Hashtags and mentions are parsed out of the caption text
  • A place is stored as a title with its latitude and longitude
  • Visibility, comments, duet and stitch are toggled for that single post
Feature 08 / 12

Watermark on Export

Your mark can be burned into the exported file rather than overlaid at play time.

  • The app bakes the watermark natively or through FFmpeg on export
  • The image itself is uploaded in the panel and switched on there
  • The browser bake script is still a deploy item, not a finished surface
Feature 09 / 12

Drafts and the Approval Queue

A clip can wait, either for the creator or for whoever reviews the feed.

  • Drafts save, list and delete through the API behind the create screen
  • A content-approval pack holds a new post pending instead of publishing it
  • Admins approve or reject from the post approval screen
Feature 10 / 12

Ceilings Enforced Server-Side

The backend, not the client, decides how much any one account can publish.

  • max_upload_daily and max_story_daily cap what a person posts in a day
  • max_images_per_post bounds how large a carousel can get
  • A banned-word list screens every comment as it is written
Feature 11 / 12

Automated Screening on Upload

Sight Engine can gate a file before it ever reaches a feed.

  • Content moderation is a setting with its own workflow identifiers
  • It stays optional and runs on your own Sight Engine account
  • Reports still land in the admin queue under the reasons you define
Feature 12 / 12

Stories From the Same Camera

A photo or video story comes out of the same capture path and expires on its own.

  • A story is created from the camera, with music on it if you want
  • A scheduled command clears stories once they have expired
  • The creator can delete their own story at any point before that
Worth knowing first:

Every surface here is white-label and can be switched on, switched off or extended for your market and your moderation appetite. Where a capability depends on a third-party key or a disabled pack, this page says so rather than implying it.

05Who buys it

Who It Suits

Who Gets the Most From the Likee Clone Camera?

The build suits operators whose product argument is creation: brands, agencies, event teams and founders who need a camera, a filter library and an edit step on day one rather than in a later phase.

What it is not is a blank canvas. The recording path, the trim bar, the overlay bake and the publish sheet are written and testable, and the parts that are not finished are named on this page rather than left for you to discover.

Audience 01 / 06Effects-Led Creator Apps

Launch a platform where the filter picker is the reason creators show up.

  • Curate a filter library and change it from the panel, release by release
  • Give creators segmented recording, trimming and overlays in the same flow
  • Keep the AR vendor relationship, and the keys, under your own account
Audience 02 / 06Beauty and Cosmetics Brands

Put a try-on style camera in front of an audience you already own.

  • Load campaign filters as rows, each with its own preview image
  • Hold new posts in an approval queue before they reach a public feed
  • Burn your watermark into every export so clips travel with the brand
Audience 03 / 06Festival and Campaign Platforms

Run a short, heavy creation window around an event rather than a permanent feed.

  • Swap the filter set for each campaign without shipping a new build
  • Cap how much any account can upload in a day from the server side
  • Use stories for the twenty-four hour material and reels for what stays
Audience 04 / 06Agencies Shipping Branded Camera Apps

Deliver the same creation stack to several clients, each as its own deployment.

  • One tree you already know, rebranded per client
  • Note that a single deployment serves a single app in the current version
  • Add your own production services on top of the code you hold
Audience 05 / 06Founders Who Want the Camera First

Start from creation rather than from a feed and a follow button.

  • The capture, edit and publish path exists before you write a line
  • Coins, gifts, subscriptions and pay-per-view are already behind it
  • The feeds, search and notifications come with the same build
Audience 06 / 06Media Brands Building an Owned Camera

Move audience participation off a rented platform and onto your own.

  • Collect clips from your audience through a camera you control
  • Decide what reaches the feed with reports, filters and the pending queue
  • Keep the content, the accounts and the data on your own infrastructure

If what you are building depends on people making something rather than only watching it, the camera is the part worth owning outright.

The Miracuves Likee clone is a vertical-video product whose center of gravity is creation. A take is recorded in the app, retimed if the speed chip was used, trimmed against a filmstrip, given a cover frame, and re-encoded before it is uploaded. Filters sit in that same step, reading rows an administrator uploaded.

Around the camera sit the parts that make a platform rather than a tool: discover and following feeds, search over people, hashtags and places, stories, live rooms, direct messages, and a coin economy covering gifts, tips, subscriptions, pay-per-view, a creator fund and creator ads.

The technical shape is plain. Flutter for the apps, Laravel and Blade for the web build and the API, MySQL underneath, Firebase for authentication and chat, Zego for live, and file storage pointed at a local disk, S3 or DigitalOcean Spaces. Encoding happens on the client, through FFmpeg on the device and ffmpeg.wasm in the browser. A server-side quality ladder is not part of the current build.

Safety controls are configuration rather than promises: optional Sight Engine screening on upload, a banned-word list on comments, report reasons you define, a pending-approval pack, per-day ceilings, a moderator role, an optional age gate, and account deletion and data-export paths. None of that is a certification, and the policies, the reviewers and the legal position in each market stay with you.

How the Likee Clone Works - Camera, Edit Step, Publish and Review

The surface looks like a swipe and a tap. Underneath it is an ordered pipeline: record, retime, trim, bake, choose a cover, upload, store, screen, publish.

Creator Journey - From Install to a Published Clip

  1. Mobile sign-in screen with email, password, recovery, account registration, and alternative authentication options
    1Install and First Run

Someone arrives from a store listing or the web build and makes an account.

    • Email, Google or Apple sign-in, with Firebase behind the web build
    • Onboarding slides you wrote, ordered from the panel
    • An optional age gate before the rest of the app opens
  2. Mobile vertical-video feed with creator details, caption, engagement actions, discovery mode, and content navigation
    2The Feed Teaches the Format

Within a swipe or two the point of the app is obvious, because the feed is full of made things rather than reposts.

    • Discover and following feeds, plus hashtag and place views
    • Popular and suggested creators for an account with no graph yet
    • A progress scrubber on the web reel so a clip can be seeked
  3. Mobile create menu providing quick access to feed posts, stories, reels, camera capture, and other publishing formats
    3Record, in Takes

Watching turns into making, and the camera is where the real work happens before anything is uploaded.

    • Each take stops without closing the camera, and the last one can be dropped
    • A speed chip retimes the take rather than only the preview
    • The filter picker appears here when DeepAR is enabled and keyed
  4. Mobile discovery feed with creator stories, user posts, hashtags, video engagement, and account navigation
    4The Edit Step

Before the post sheet, the file is actually changed rather than annotated.

    • Trim against a filmstrip, then re-encode and reload the player
    • Text and gallery stickers dragged onto the paused frame and baked in
    • A cover frame chosen for the thumbnail the feed will show
  5. Mobile coin wallet showing balance, collected and gifted coins, purchase activity, and rewarded-ad earning access
    5Caption, Tag and Publish

The post sheet collects everything stored alongside the file.

    • Caption with hashtags and mentions, a place, and a visibility choice
    • Comments, duet and stitch allowed or refused for this post
    • Pay-per-view priced in coins where the post is paid
  6. Mobile creator-fund dashboard showing available balance, withdrawals, estimated earnings, qualified views, and performance analytics
    6Review, Limits and Reach

What happens after publish is governed by settings, not by hope.

    • An approval pack can hold the post pending instead of releasing it
    • Daily ceilings and a banned-word list apply server-side
    • Activity notifications go out over FCM on a like, comment, follow or gift

Behind The Scenes

Behind the Likee Clone - Backend and System Architecture

Book a Live Walkthrough
  1. Layer 01

Capture and Encode on the Device

Take recorded, speed baked, trim applied, overlays burned in, cover frame picked.

  2. Layer 02

    Upload and Object Storage

The finished file goes to the storage disk you configured: local, S3 or Spaces.

  3. Layer 03

    Feeds, Search and Hashtags

Discover, following, hashtag, place and search views are served from the same API.

  4. Layer 04

    Screening, Reports and Approval

Optional Sight Engine on upload, a banned-word list on comments, a pending queue.

  5. Layer 05

    Coins, Gifts and Wallet

Coin purchases, gifts, tips, pay-per-view and payout requests move through the API.

  6. Layer 06

    Crons, Counters and Logs

Scheduled commands expire stories, prune notifications and count daily actives.

Technology

Likee Clone Tech Stack - Flutter, Laravel, FFmpeg and MySQL

The hard part of a creation-led app is encoding on the client, so the stack is ordinary where it can be and specific where it has to be. Nothing here is exotic, and nothing is hidden.

Frontend

Mobile and Browser Clients

Flutter (Mobile) · Php-Laravel (Web)
  • One Flutter tree compiled for Android and iOS
  • A vertical feed built for swipe, not retrofitted onto a grid
  • Blade pages a crawler can read, with an optional install prompt
Backend

API and Business Rules

Laravel
  • One API behind the apps, the web build and the panel
  • Scheduled commands rather than queue workers in this version
  • Auth, posts, feeds, wallet, reports and settings in one place
Database

Users, Posts and Transactions

MYSQL / MariaDB
  • Posts, sounds, comments, reports and filter rows as plain tables
  • Wallet, coin, gift and withdrawal records kept apart from content
  • Indexes tuned for the feed, search and hashtag queries
Media

Media Encoding and Live

Zego · FFmpeg Kit · ffmpeg.wasm · Hls.js
  • Zego carries the live rooms and issues their tokens
  • FFmpeg Kit bakes trims, overlays and retimes on the device
  • Hls.js is bundled in the player, but the server quality ladder is off
Cloud & Operations

Hosting You Choose

AWS / GCP / DigitalOcean
  • Deployed on your own account, on the provider you prefer
  • File storage pointed at a local disk, S3 or DigitalOcean Spaces
  • Backups and recovery planned around your own retention rules
Delivery

Delivery and Safeguards

Cloudflare / Akamai CDN
  • Static assets and media served from the edge you put in front
  • Firewall and abuse protection at the edge rather than in the app
  • Signed media URLs and token-checked API access
Heads-up, Technical Buyers:

The tree is readable and conventional, so your own engineers can extend a controller, add a table or move the storage disk without reverse engineering the product first. Where a capability depends on a vendor key, that key is yours.

Build to Scale

Built to Grow - Client-Side Encoding, Object Storage and Honest Limits

Creation-led apps put load in an unusual place: the encode happens on the phone or in the browser, so the server carries storage, feeds and writes. The build is shaped around that split, and around what is not finished yet .

Encoding on the client keeps the server bill predictable, because a trim, an overlay bake or a retime costs a user device rather than a worker fleet. It also means the file that lands in storage is already the final cut.

What that does not give you is a quality ladder. The build uploads and serves the file it was given, and the server-side ladder remains an open work item rather than a shipped capability.

01

Where the Work Actually Lands

The encode runs on the device. The API carries authentication, feeds, writes and the wallet, and the storage disk carries the media.

  • FFmpeg on the device and ffmpeg.wasm in the browser do the encoding
  • The API stays stateless enough to put more than one instance behind a balancer
  • Scheduled commands, not queue workers, handle expiry and counting in this version
02

Hosting That Follows Your Own Account

Deploy on the cloud you already use. Nothing in the build assumes a provider, and the storage disk is a configuration value.

  • Local disk, S3 or DigitalOcean Spaces chosen in configuration
  • One Laravel app plus MySQL, which is a shape most teams can already operate
  • Scale the API and the database separately from the media
03
Nearest edgeFewer round tripsCheaper egress

Delivery Through the Edge You Choose

Media and static assets sit behind whichever CDN you put in front of the origin. The build does not bundle one or depend on a particular vendor.

  • Signed URLs for media rather than open bucket paths
  • Edge caching for the assets a feed requests repeatedly
04
MP4 as uploadedHls.js bundledLadder pack off

Playback Is Plain, and We Will Say So

The player prefers an HLS rendition when one exists, but the server-side encode ladder and the live replay packs are both off and the work is recorded as unproven. Treat adaptive playback as scoped work, not as a feature you are buying.

  • No transcode fleet is included or implied
  • Clips are served as the client encoded them, which keeps the pipeline short
05

Resilience Comes From How You Deploy It

The application is ordinary PHP and MySQL, so health checks, replicas, failover and monitoring are things you configure in your own infrastructure. We will not quote an uptime figure for a system we do not operate.

  • Reports, blocking, a banned-word list and a pending queue are all in the code
  • Role separation keeps a moderator account away from settings and money
  • Account deletion, data export and retention settings are present as paths
06

One Deployment Is One App

A deployment serves a single branded app. Multi-tenant white-label is out of scope in the current version, so several brands means several deployments or scoped work.

  • Region and content rules can differ per market inside one deployment
  • The source tree is yours, so a second brand is a fork you control
  • Integrations are added where you need them rather than brokered through us

Heads-up for Founders and CTOs

Starting modestly does not close any doors. You launch on what exists and add the encode ladder, the advanced editor or whatever else matters once real usage tells you it does, without discarding the build.

07Security and trust

Security

Likee Clone Security - Upload Screening, Access Control and Data Rights

A creation platform holds files people recorded themselves, so you are handling media, identity, money and reports. The build treats all four as first-class rather than as a later hardening pass.

  1. 01 · Practices
Practices the Code Was Written Against

The build ships with a written security and penetration-test readiness document listing what was checked and what to close before launch. Admin routes are protected, the API is authenticated, roles are separated, and consequential actions are written to a log.

    • Admin routes gated behind a login, separate from the public API
    • One authenticated API across the apps, the web build and the panel
    • Logs behind moderation decisions, wallet movements and settings changes
    • ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Aligned Practices: Written against those controls, with environment separation, access control over servers and code, and logging on the actions that matter. No certificate is held here, and any you need is issued to your own entity.
  2. 02 · Privacy
Personal Data and the Rights Attached to It

People upload faces. The build keeps consent at signup, account deletion, data export and configurable retention as real paths rather than as policy text, and keeps profile, post, comment and report data structured enough to answer a request.

    • Consent captured at signup rather than assumed
    • Account deletion and data export as paths in the product
    • Retention and anonymization set as configuration, not as code changes
    • Handling Personal Data, Built Ready: Consent at signup, deletion and export paths, and retention you set. Whether your use of it satisfies a particular regime is a question for your own counsel.
  3. 03 · APIs
    Guarded APIs, Sessions and Keys

Uploads, wallet movements, live tokens and settings all sit behind authenticated calls. Third-party credentials for DeepAR, Sight Engine, Zego, Stripe and PayPal are entered in the panel and kept out of the client builds.

    • Token-checked calls between every client and the API
    • Session handling separated by role rather than shared
    • Vendor keys held server-side and never compiled into an app binary
    • Transport and Storage: HTTPS and TLS for sensitive traffic, standard password hashing, and secrets kept in environment configuration rather than in the repository.
  4. 04 · Access
    Roles, Not One Shared Admin

Seven roles exist in the build: viewer, creator, seller, business, manager, moderator and administrator. A moderator can freeze an account and remove a post without touching settings, keys or payouts.

    • A moderator account that is explicitly not an administrator
    • Manager accounts that act for a creator with delegated permissions
    • Settings, keys and withdrawal approval kept behind the admin role
    • Login and Permission Control: Token-based authentication, role-based access control, and optional second-factor protection for the accounts that can change money or policy.
  5. 05 · Abuse
    Spam, Floods and Abuse

The cheapest attack on a creation app is volume. Ceilings are enforced in the backend rather than in the client, so a modified app cannot post past them, and the reserved-username list blocks the obvious impersonation attempts.

    • Per-day caps on uploads, stories, comments and replies, set server-side
    • A banned-word list applied to every comment as it is written
    • Reserved usernames so nobody registers as your support account
    • Defence Against Floods and Abuse: Server-side ceilings, rate limiting on the sensitive routes, and edge protection from whichever CDN you put in front of the origin.
  6. 06 · Moderation
Screening, Reports and the Audit Trail

Screening can run before anything is published. Sight Engine is an optional integration on your own account that can block an upload, a content-approval pack can hold a post pending, and reports arrive under reasons you defined.

    • Optional automated screening on upload, on your own vendor account
    • A pending-approval queue between publish and the public feed
    • Post, user and comment reports, each with an administrator decision recorded
    • Content Review Tools: Reporting on posts, users and comments, a pending queue in the panel, freeze and removal actions, and a record of who decided what.

A Word for Serious Operators: From the files people upload to the balances they withdraw, this is a platform that holds things that matter. Miracuves gets you live quickly without pretending the gaps are closed , which is why the unfinished parts are named on this page.

Trust and Content Review

Trust and Safety on a Likee Clone - What the Code Does, and What Stays Yours

You are buying software. No reviewers come with it and nothing here is a legal opinion. Miracuves writes and hands over the layer your trust-and-safety work sits on; the policies, the people reading the queue and the legal position in each market remain yours.

The scaffolding for a safety program is in the code. Your policies, your reviewers and the law where you operate are what turn scaffolding into a program.

Built ready means the controls exist and are switchable: reports on posts, users and comments under reasons you define; a pending-approval pack between publish and the feed; optional Sight Engine screening on upload; a banned-word list on comments; per-day ceilings enforced in the backend; a moderator role that can freeze an account; blocking; an optional age gate; consent at signup; and deletion, export and retention paths. That is not a certification. Miracuves holds no audit, no certificate and no store approval on your behalf.

What the Code Covers

Uploads can be screened automatically, held for review, or let through. Comments pass a word list. Reports on a post, a person or a comment reach a queue with your own reasons attached. A moderator can freeze an account and remove a post or a story without being given the settings or the money. Decisions are recorded. All of it arrives as source you own.

What You Still Run

Takedown notices and law-enforcement requests, the people working the queue and how fast they work it, and clearance for the filters, assets and sounds your creators use. So are the privacy policy, the guidelines and the terms. The build can route a report; it cannot decide one.

Age Gating and Minors

An age gate can be switched on before the app opens, with a minimum age and either a manual check or an optional automated one. Parental controls are not in the build and would be scoped work. If children can reach your platform, settle that before launch, because those rules are the least forgiving.

Local Law Sets the Duties

Duties differ by market. US COPPA applies if children use the service, India has the IT Rules of 2021, the United Kingdom has the Online Safety Act, and the European Union has the Digital Services Act alongside GDPR. Have counsel read the markets you intend to open. Legal and regulatory guidance is not something Miracuves supplies.

Likee Clone Revenue Models - Coins, Subscriptions, Pay-Per-View and the Fund

Creation only continues where it pays. Eleven revenue lines are documented in this build, and every commission percentage behind them is a setting in the panel rather than a constant in the code.

The six cards below are the lines most short-video operators start with. The sourced table under them shows what comparable platforms publish, so a model can be built from rates anyone can check.

  1. 01

    Creator Wallet and Payouts

Balances from gifts, tips, pay-per-view and the fund, with withdrawal requests.

  2. 02

    Coins and Gifts

Coin packs you price, spent on gifts over a post or inside a live room.

  3. 03

    Subscriptions and Fan Access

Recurring access to a creator, with the platform share set as a percentage.

  4. 04

    Brand Work and Creator Ads

Creators paying to promote a post, alongside the deals they strike themselves.

  5. 05

    Pay-Per-View Posts

A post marked paid and unlocked with coins, at a price the creator sets.

  6. 06

    The Creator Fund

A pool you fund, applied for by creators and approved against your own rules.

YouTube computes its 70% after local sales tax and App Store fees on iOS and absorbs card costs, so a creator's cut of a viewer's gross payment is lower.
Creator Wallet & EarningsMoving a balance out to a bank or a wallet can carry a fee on the rail itself.PayPal Payouts: 2% of the payment, capped at $1.00 on US sends.Rail cost. PayPal also offers a 0.25 USD flat fee through its API and caps international sends at 20.00 USD, so payout fees stay small against typical balances.

How to read this. App-store rates are Apple's own published policy: the Small Business Program page and subscription terms, with the 30% standard rate in its newsroom release. Creator splits come from YouTube's earnings overview and its Super Chat page, the gift payout from Instagram Help, and the withdrawal fee from PayPal's fee table. Everything cited is a published rate. Brand-deal pricing has no public benchmark, so it is described rather than quoted. Keep these numbers as modeling inputs only, never as a quote or a statement of expected earnings.

Market Benchmarks

Short-Video App Market Benchmarks - Independent 2025-2026 Data

Our own revenue models appear earlier; the statistics below have other origins. YouTube, Meta, DataReportal and Pew Research released them, and we show them unaltered. From these, operators can gauge how much attention short-form video already commands, the advertising volume it supports at scale and how many users it has, which lets you check the business case against sources anyone can verify.

YouTube01

200bn Daily Views on YouTube Shorts

YouTube CEO Neal Mohan announced on 18 June 2025 that YouTube Shorts were averaging over 200 billion daily views, and YouTube's 2026 CEO letter, published on 21 January 2026, repeats that Shorts now averages 200 billion daily views. It is a publisher-reported measure of how much of a major platform's viewing now happens in the short-form vertical feed.

Meta02

Reels at an Annual Run Rate Over $50bn

On its third-quarter 2025 earnings call on 29 October 2025, Meta said Reels now has an annual run rate of over US$50 billion. In the same remarks it reported that video time spent on Instagram was up more than 30 percent year on year. A run rate is Meta's own extrapolation of current revenue, not realized annual revenue.

DataReportal03

1h 37m a Day: Time per TikTok User

DataReportal's Digital 2026 Global Overview Report, published in October 2025, uses Similarweb App Intelligence data for August 2025 to report that the typical TikTok user spends 1 hour and 37 minutes per day using the platform's Android app. That is the highest daily average among the leading social apps the report compares, and it is for Android usage only.

Pew Research04

37% of US Adults Use TikTok

Pew Research Center reports in a short read published on 2 March 2026 that about four-in-ten US adults (37 percent) say they use TikTok, up from 21 percent in 2021, based on a survey of US adults conducted from 5 February to 18 June 2025. About six-in-ten adults under 30 (63 percent) are on the platform, and 68 percent of teens aged 13 to 17 use it.

2026 Opportunity

Why Build an Effects-Led Short-Video App in 2026?

Short-video feeds are settled ground. What is not settled is who owns the camera. On a rented platform the effects, the license behind them and the rules about what may be made all belong to someone else.

Owning the capture path means the filter library is an editorial decision you make, and the vendor relationship behind it is yours to negotiate.

01

The Filter Library Is Yours to Curate

Filters are rows an administrator uploads, each with a title, a preview and a file. What a creator can reach for is a decision you make in the panel, not one handed down to you.

02

The AR Vendor Relationship Is Direct

DeepAR is enabled with keys you register. No reseller sits between you and the engine, and no part of the product stops working because our account changed.

03

The Encode Happens on the Device

Trims, overlays and retimes are baked by the phone or the browser, so creation load does not arrive as a server bill before you have revenue.

04

A Camera Is Hard to Add Later

Feeds, follows and comments can be bolted onto most products. A recording and editing path cannot, which is why starting from one is the cheaper order of work.

05

Narrow Scenes Reward a Specific Camera

A beauty, fitness or festival audience wants a few right effects rather than a generic toolbox, and a focused filter set is something only an owner can ship.

06

The Economics Are Already Wired

Coins, gifts, subscriptions, pay-per-view, the fund and creator ads all exist behind the camera, so a creation strategy does not need a monetization project first.

Commercial Upside Here

Marketability, Revenue Potential and Where Growth Could Come From

An effects-led short-video app is a production tool, a community and a storefront at once. Which of the three leads depends on the scene you pick, the filters you load and how the money is split.

  1. 01

    Creation Is the Retention Mechanic

People come back to a camera they like using far more readily than to a feed they scroll.

  2. 02

Filters Give You Something to Launch

A new filter set is a reason to send a notification, which a feed redesign is not.

  3. 03

Made Content Is Cheaper Than Licensed Content

What creators record costs you storage rather than a rights negotiation.

  4. 04

    Effects Sell Naturally to Brands

A branded filter is an ad unit that the audience chooses to wear and share.

Key Revenue Drivers
  • branded filter campaigns
  • coins and gifts
  • creator subscriptions
  • pay-per-view posts
  • creator ads on your inventory
  • the creator fund you set
Durable Returns

Run well, a camera-led platform can settle into:

  1. 01a production tool people rely on
  2. 02a scene with its own creators
  3. 03a campaign surface brands pay for
  4. 04an audience you no longer rent
Illustrative Earnings Models

None of the three below is a forecast or a promise. They are the shapes operators plan against, and the figures move with audience size, how much gets made, how much is paid for and what you charge on each line.

Scenario A - Single Scene, Early10K MAU~$10K-$35K / month potential

Early revenue tends to come from entry subscriptions, gifts on posts, a few paid posts and one or two branded filter sets.

Fits a narrow scene: a city, a sport, a craft, a cosmetics audience, or a founder proving that people will actually make something.

Scenario B - Growing Camera App100K MAU~$75K-$250K / month potential

At this size coins and gifts carry most of it, with subscriptions, pay-per-view, creator ads and campaign work from brands behind them.

Fits funded teams, regional platforms, media brands and agency-run communities past the first traction.

Scenario C - Established Creation Platform500K+ MAU$500K+ / month potential

At scale the mix broadens: a funded creator pool, ad inventory on your own feed, paid live sessions, recurring brand programs and heavy gifting.

Fits entertainment brands, large creator networks, telcos and media houses with reliable creator supply and the operations to keep it.

Why Miracuves

Miracuves Compared With Other Likee Clone Developers

A camera-led app can be bought from a script seller, commissioned from an agency, or built in house. The comparison that matters is how much of it already works, how much of it you own afterwards, and whether anyone tells you what is missing.

Short-Video Platform Insights: Blog Posts & Tutorials

Stay updated with the latest trends, guides and case studies on short-video platform development.

Product4 questions

01What is a Likee Clone App, in plain terms?

It is a finished short-video platform you launch under your own name, built around creation: a camera that records in takes, an edit step with a trim bar, text and sticker overlays baked into the file, a cover frame, and a publish sheet for the caption, hashtags, place and visibility. AR filters are a picker reading rows you upload, powered by DeepAR on your own keys. It ships as Android and iOS apps, a Laravel web build and one admin panel.

02Do AR filters come with the product?

The filter pipeline does; the AR engine does not. DeepAR is an optional integration: you register with them, put your keys in the panel, turn on the is_deepAR setting, and then upload each filter as a row with a title, a preview image and the filter file. Nothing is licensed on your behalf, and no filter assets are bundled. If you never configure DeepAR, the rest of the camera still works and the picker stays hidden.

03What can the editor actually do, and what is missing?

On the device: multi-take recording, a trim bar over a 12-frame filmstrip, speed baked into the file, and text or sticker overlays burned in by a single encode pass. In the browser panel: trim, cover frame, speed, cut, center crop, merge, and an audio choice of keep, mute or replace. What is not there is the advanced pack, which adds a reorderable timeline, transitions and volume control and is recorded as not enabled, together with the auto-subtitle pack. Audio mixing in the browser is keep, mute or replace rather than a mixer, and the product requirements put advanced editing out of scope for the current version.

04Which stack is it built on?

Flutter for the Android and iOS apps, Laravel with Blade and JavaScript for the web build and the API, MySQL underneath, Firebase for authentication and chat, and Zego for live rooms. Encoding is client-side: FFmpeg on the device and ffmpeg.wasm in the browser. Storage points at a local disk, S3 or DigitalOcean Spaces. Hls.js is bundled in the player, but the server-side quality ladder is off and unproven, so do not plan on adaptive playback without scoping it.

Cost and go-live4 questions

05What does it cost in 2026?

A launch-ready white-label Likee clone starts from around $3,999 on the Professional plan, paid once, with go-live in 6 days. The figure moves with branding, platforms, integrations, the modules you add and how much customization you want. Enterprise scopes for larger operators are quoted against the work.

06How quickly can it be live?

Six working days for the branded standard build, app publishing support included. Each customization extends that, and anything custom gets a written scope and a figure before work starts rather than after.

07Can it run on our own cloud account?

Yes, and it is meant to. The build is ordinary Laravel and MySQL with a configurable storage disk, so it deploys on your own account with whatever provider you already use, and you can move it later without asking us.

08Why Miracuves for a Likee clone build?

Since 2010 Miracuves has delivered 9,000+ projects, serving 6,000+ clients, with 90+ ready-made solutions in the catalog. This build goes live in 6 days with publishing support, full rebranding and the whole source tree handed over. It already runs QifQif, a short-video platform operating regionally in the UAE. You also get 60 days of platform guidance, priority bug fixes for 6 months and product updates for 12. And you get a page that tells you which packs are off before you pay.

Creators & revenue2 questions

09How do creators earn on it?

Through gifts bought with coins and sent on a post or inside a live room, tips, subscriptions, posts marked pay-per-view and unlocked with coins, a creator fund you finance and approve against, and creator ads they buy to promote their own posts. Every commission percentage is a setting, balances sit in a wallet, and withdrawal requests arrive in the panel for approval.

10Can a Likee clone app be launched lawfully?

Building a short-video app with a camera and a filter picker is ordinary software work. What matters is that your platform carries its own name, branding, assets and content, that the AR engine and any filter assets are licensed in your own name, and that you meet content, privacy and child-safety law in every market you open. This build was written by our own team and contains no code, design or content from Likee. Confirm your position with counsel; Miracuves does not give legal advice.

Ownership, security & support3 questions

11Do we really get the whole source code?

Yes. The full tree, with no per-seat fee and no revenue share, so there is no lock-in and the roadmap after handover is yours to set.

12How safe is it?

It ships with a written security and penetration-test readiness document. Sensitive traffic runs over HTTPS and TLS, passwords are hashed with standard algorithms, the API is token-checked, roles are separated so a moderator is not an administrator, vendor keys stay server-side, daily ceilings and a banned-word list are enforced in the backend, and consequential actions are logged. It is written against ISO 27001 and SOC 2 controls and the data paths are built ready for a GDPR-style regime, but no certificate is held or claimed here; any you need is issued to your own entity.

13Is there ongoing support?

Yes. Every launch carries 60 days of dedicated platform guidance, 6 months of priority bug fixes and 12 months of product updates, with a first response inside 2 hours on Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 19:00 IST. Longer maintenance is available separately.
